When I lived in New York I got soooo many weird names at Starbucks and so on. Sometimes I think they make up new names to see how the customers will react. Thank you for speaking English! It will make a lot of fans super happy!

I used to work at Japanese Company a few years ago at my country Philippines. and I also I amazed how our Japanese advisor speak English and sometimes our Local Language. Many of us learned about SG and wondered what other talent came from that school. That is how I know about you. This is the first time I have seen you alone and you are a joy! Whether you speak English or not I will support your efforts. Would you please tell us how to best support you? What is you goal? What would make your program a success? What kind of feedback and comments will be helpful? You have many fans all over the world who you don't know and they need to know about your projects like this. I found out by accident. I am glad I did. Please continue.

Just to add another comment after watching the entire video. When it comes to quick-serve restaurants in the United States, there are around 150-200 common first names that wage-workers are accustomed to hearing and writing down often... other names are approximated not because the workers are being rude or don’t care, but because they have to serve as many people as quickly as possible. If I had a dollar for every time my first name was misspelled “Fee” or “Fi” or “Steve”, I would be rich! 😂
In America, the first name, “Marina” isn’t as popular as it is in other countries. When most Americans hear the word “marina”, they think about a constructed harbor that is used to dock small ships... so, for us, hearing “marina” used as a first name is akin to someone being named “Garage” or “Hangar”. I’m sorry that us Americans are ignorant to common first names used in other countries, but if it makes you feel a little happier, try to imagine how badly other SG members’ names would be misspelled! 😂

Hello Phi, I have often wondered how your last name is pronounced I've heard it several ways. The way I would say it is new-yen. Is that correct? I so want to learn Japanese, but for my old brain, it seems to daunting of a task. P.s. Isn't Marina the cutest? Hahaha
