Evan is played by Jon Huertas (today he is on THIS IS US). Cliff is played by Bryce Johnson (today he is on PRETTY LITTLE LIARS). The name of the TV series was UNDRESSED and it was on MTV from 1999 to 2002.
Yeah, they both are pretty hot. With the pandemic the should bring back the old MTV format. I grew up in the 80's, I know I'm old, MTV was cool back then with music videos basically 24/7, and the early 90's with Undressed Around 2003 . MTV had another show Room Raiders gay version I liked. Just want to make a plug here for other shows you may like 1. American version Shameless in it's 11th and finale season on Showtime 2. The British version Shameless is worth binge watching. Ok, I've rattled on long enough. Enjoy! PS: Also check out Gay Music Artist Steve Grand.
This Is Us, is pretty good. I've recently started watching it, Sad to say I've meant to watch Pretty Little Liars but have not watched it yet. Guess it time for some marathon streaming sessions.
The best thing in this series is that they didn't end up being a couple (as much as we wanted them to). This is some real friendship everyone wishes for. Great storyline. Great acting. And unbelievable chemistry. ❤️
I know right?! But these guys did an excellent job. And as a lonely gay guy in college back then..I could only wish to have a cool straight roommate like that.
It is so sexy when a straight guy are that comfortable with his own sexuality and humble himself around others sexuality genuinely. What a well brilliantly intellectually script show. Never heard of the show before but don't I wish there's more. Well done! Love love love ❤️💋
Bryce Johnson really was an underrated actor in the 90s. Watching this reminds me of just how relaxed, genuine, natural and easygoing his acting style was in all of his major roles.
I remember being like 13 and staying up late when my dad worked 3rd shift to watch Undressed because it was the only show that showed multiple dynamics of homosexual men. I remember this storyline in particular!
This series is so entertaining that it leaves you cheering for each guy and his conquest. It's refreshing to see they're more alike than different. In the end they became each other's counselor of the heart.
MTV's Undressed was the best guilty pleasure TV show ever. I was just talking about this with my bff, and how we never missed it. This show aired at the same time we were going though these same life issues. The show was way far ahead of it's time, which is weird to say because it really wasn't, you just didn't see it on TV. I wish I could find all the episodes. Good memories!
This aired during my freshman year in college. I use to rush home after work just to watch this. This and Queer As Folk helped me come out to my friends.
I have 4 straight bestfriends during college for and four years i always act being straight but i know that they are aware that im gay..and its not an issue for them were still friends up to now and i was actually a godfather of their 1st child..coz..thats what friends are for
I love Cliffy & his mate, they're so cool and easy together! They're like a good example of bro-mates :-) I think their sense of humour helps. I wish there was a 3rd part to this! 1999 apparently? Gosh, it's old! I never knew of this series before.
Wow I am enthralled by this! Was so wonderfully hot about the true bromance that happens between a gay and straight guy. I had my best bros name tattooed on me. Jeremiah walker on my belly. We never slept together, he's straight, but he will forever have my heart. This was a perfect 10! Bravo!
This whole thing breathed life into me like wtf cliff is so cool I wish more straight guys were like him. The banter and friendship is just so good like nobody focuses on straight/gay friendships so it's really refreshing to see
Sami R. My friendship with my friend was pretty similar to this. With my friend being like cliff. This really hits home on so many levels for me and I can’t totally relate to this whole thing
In 2000 I sublet an apartment from my friend in Hollywood.. The apartment was being passed back and forth among a bunch of actors. Bryce Johnson was one of the guys who originally had the apartment and I met him just once.. Another guy was named Jimmie who ended up getting signed for Steven Spielberg's band of brothers.. It was a pretty cool time to be in the entertainment industry back then..
If only there were more straight guys like this guy, he started as a bone head and it's funny how he wanted a wing man and got exactly that... I'm glad they didn't end up together cause that would've ruin their friendship... I like both guys they were good
I really enjoyed watching these two guys together.....It's a shame that there isn't a series like this, with two equally talented actors as roommates............It was a great idea..................ron
IM SCREAMING !! I love thissss 😩❤️🤞🏾 I’m blessed to have straight guy friends that are exactly how Cliff became in the end! Definitely a dope show! I need more! 🤣
Omg the ending was rly funny 😂 I have a straight guy friend and I came out to him a few months ago and we have the same relationship. He gets mocking me with some gay stuff 🤦🏾♂️😂😂❤ I love our friendship though ❤
I'm a gay guy living with 4 straight guy in a single room (one of them is homophobic) and it sucks I know lol. They are good guys btw. We don't talk about my sexuality (they don't ask anyways). I love this series.
There are different types of Gay men. They don't all act fem or try to be drag queens. And the term Gay applies to everyone who is sexually attracted to their own sex.
This is at a time when undressed felt much more like a young adult soap opera then just a tease here and there as it became later on. This particular storyline really hit hard on a few levels, and I genuinely feel for these guys at least considering the context of the series.
Wow this is a pleasantly good show the acting is amazing.. not overly dramatic And I like the vintage 90s look I always wondered what it was like to be a teenager or young adult in the 90s it seemed like it would be fun.. kids my age literally are on their phone 24/7 on isntgram and Snapchat and we never talk face to face..
I was 22 when this came out and man,.. 90's was the last great decade. I even heard It as the last GOLDEN AGE: the economy was great, music all genres had there great music not just one hip hop, internet and cell phones were in but early stages no social media and THE IRONY IS , .. WE WERE A MILLION TIMES SOCIAL THEN KIDS OF TODAY !! We had to mingle and talk to each other, have spontaneous parties or going out . Kids cannot do this anymore , they afraid how a pic would look on there instagram or they have to prep before , .. it's sad. ITS REVERSE , WE PEAKED AT THE 90'S ! SHOOT I REMEMBER GOING INTO THE GAP AND ABROCOMBIE STORES AND THINKING " THESE GUYS LOOK LIKE MODELS IN THOSE CATALOGS THEY USE TO SALE " .. .. THE EMPLOYEES WERE STUNNING., then I thought I just exaggerated but a buddy had taken a picture years ago when he worked there of a group photo for a birthday at the store.. PEOPLE WERE MORE BEAUITFUL BACK THEN . SORRY GUYS NOW EVERY ONE IS OVERWEIGHT AND TACKY., KIDS HAVE NO MANNERS , OR SOCIAL SKILLS !! I was blessed living in the 90's as a kid.
I miss this show. I really hope it gets a reboot. I was too young to feel like I could relate. I enjoyed the couple that had one that still fantasized about his Ex and the other that found out his older brother was gay as well.
Omg the straight roomate is so cool. I'm gay and i wish i had such a cool straight friend...btw i wouldn't dare to even think about kissing him, I'd do my best to keep the friendship last!
So glad Evan wasn’t hyperfemme, which is today’s norm. So many people complained Will of Will & Grace wasn’t “gay enough.” It’s ridiculous. We are as diverse as anyone else and I’m glad that was repped in this series.

Right
Actually made me sad I dont have a friend lol
Ren G how come?
Exactly
What really makes this short story is the obvious 'chemistry' between these two guys & some great acting.
Totally enjoyed this. Well done!
Wait it’s a SHORT STORY?!? I thought it was a movie or tv show or SOMETHING! NOOOOOOOOO 😣😖😫
@@Gaggle8888 no it's a series.. it was on from 1999 to 2002.
When he said: "oh Evan you know I'm not your type" I felt that 😍 idk that was kinda cute. Especially when he was giggling at the end.
It was almost like the pec coulda happened. I mean Cliff took it so well. That nose pinch. They had formed a true bromance of sorts 👍🏼😀❤️
It was so funny I can't stop laughing shout lol
Time stamp?
And the music lmao
I would literally freak out if I had a roommate like Cliff. Man, he's like a 20 out of 10!
My personal experience... 😓. We're no longer roommates these days, but we're still the best of friends. ☺️
Nah hes a basic white man
Hes so mediocre basic white boy
Can you believe this was 1999?
Jaffa Orange yeap. I remember trying to stay up to watch a bit of this show. 😀
I know right?! But these guys did an excellent job. And as a lonely gay guy in college back then..I could only wish to have a cool straight roommate like that.
no I cannot believe it. I am in love with Bryce Johnson. Not in a sexual way. I just want him for a teddy bear type of love lol
Tony Austen he still looks good to. I googled him ☺️
@@Nightbird. i swear there are a lot of cool straight roommates like this right now

he was Josh Ford in Popular
Donald Dita Thx for reminding me where I had seen him before.

Righttt like where can I find more of this😭
Most enjoyable. Both of them are so handsome and really cute together. Who would have thought they'd be so perfect for each other as roommates.
This is so bold and ahead of its time for the late '90s!
I have three straight roommates who i can tell all my fantasies about men and they have been very supportive hahahaha its really cool 😁
Jensen Gaoiran I want friends like those guys

Why couldn't I have seen this when I was 13?!
ransom182 I actually did see it when I was 13 and I think it saved my life.

Keep in mind they were using a public bathroom. You DON'T want to put anything that goes in your mouth on anything in there..lol.
When Evan was in Cliff's face the looks Cliff was making made me feel some type of way...
👀👀👀
Frustrated?
These goody but oldies on UA-cam are great, but make me feel old. Lol. Thank God for UA-cam.
