My repaired indicator still works fine. Just make sure, that the rear contact is not longer than the original! Two nuts were too much and it rubbed against the engine, so i switched to just one nut, secured by screw locking fluid.
Thanks so much for your thorough troubleshooting steps. I had the exact same symptoms and it turned out to be the same issue you found in part 2, a bad bulb socket. I will be donating right now!
Thank you so much! Just make sure to read my pinned comment, on the part 2 video (ua-cam.com/video/Jix7GSIalQM/v-deo.html) because I had to tweak the solution afterwards. But now it works like a charm.
Look for the green part below the brown starter relay behind the battery compartment. You can see a glimpse of the green part in one of my videos: ua-cam.com/video/SeHjxoQeSJk/v-deo.html
In part 2 (ua-cam.com/video/Jix7GSIalQM/v-deo.html) you see, that I have fixed it. But be aware, that the gap between the tip of the connection of the indicator and the engine is very small. So, an improvised connection cannot be any higher than the original setup. Otherwise the rubber cap rubs against the engine and gets damaged.
Thanks for your input. But in fact the pin connects to +12V TI relay and the spring at the top connects to earth (chassis). The locking hook has no electrical function.
Im sorry but you are incorrect. The spring is too flimsey for a good earth piaggio would never use that. If you keep the hook clean and area on panel where it hooks to. You will never have a problem. Thinking the spring clip is the earth is a bit of a school boy error.
Nice, I have the same problem on my PX150, so time to try the same steps!

The panel doesnt earth through the spring clip. It earths with the hook that holds on the panel.

That’s so funny.. 😂😂🤣 that clip just holds the panel on .. the electrical part is the front pin that enters the frame through the hole… good luck
@@pauldavis2480 that’s correct for the positive, they’re talking about the negative or ground.
How do you know? It seems like either could work. Maybe they even designed it with a belt plus suspenders mentality.
