I am from a small city called Hubli,Karnataka...I have actually had the best childhood no fucking McDonald's till the last 2 years no fucking dominos no nothing just these Chinese thela walas and chaat and sandwich and stuff...so no restrictions on playing and stuff, cricket khelna, running karna, football (soccer ⚽️ for karan) we used to just go and pluck fruits from the farms behind my house 🏡 go bring sunflowers 🌻... so I have had a childhood like in castle on the hill...

The places I hung out at: Bandstand, Hersch bakery(, Stomach restaurant (some where in Bandra), Andoras, Khar gym, Juhu Koliwada(cricket), Talwalkars gym(don't ask), Dynasty restaurant(Khar), Fat Kong, US club(Colaba), Yoko sizzlers, Nike store Khar linking road(just to window shop), Barista at National college, Zenta call center(2 month gig in power), Renaissance hotel, Powai (5 months intern)..

My mother was in the Army, so going around was fun, in India. There is this place, i will NEVER forget, which was Nilgiris in Brigade Road, Bangalore. That Nilgiris, was the first time, i experienced shopping in huge departmental stores like Star Bazaar, Hypercity, which we have today in malls. This i am talking about late 80's and early 90's. Growing up in Bangalore was so much fun, back then. Brigade road, had these three movie halls, Diamond, Rex and Symphony, and Cubbon Park was nearby, with Vishwesharaiya museum, near by as well. I used to study in Army School Bangalore, and used to stay in Carriappa colony. All these places were fun, and then we had Commercial Street. Just awesome.
One amazing thing Nilgiris had was MUTTON PIE. It was for INR 6, but it was the most fantastic thing ever, and flavoured milk, all from Nilgiris. I wonder if all these places, still exist in Bangalore. I left Bangalore in 92. I was heart broken to leave, so much of my memories behind. When i moved to Bombay, once in Monginis, i asked for Mutton Pie, and they never got, what i asked. Would love to visit Bangalore again.

Varun is so true about the clubs thing. I am 15 and I fuckin hate when people my age want to go clubbing and drink with fake id's. My favourite hangout spot is a place in juhu Funfact- It's near the frankiewala karan mentioned. So it's practically in a commercial building but on the ground floor, it's dark and it literally has only 3 lights inside 2 yellow hanging lights above the pool table and one near where dude sits and I he has stereo system where you can play your own songs and shit, the dude is very chill, he gives us the table and locks the drawer where he keeps money and leaves because we buy it on hourly basis. So most of the times me and my friends are in the premises as he has 2 pool tables and literally no one comes. He has a fridge where you can grab beverages. And it's 40 per frame and 150 per hour and we are like 4 people so it's 10 per frame and 38 per hour per person. Obviously it's losers pay most of the times because why not.. We turn off the music somedays and the conversation while playing is fucking priceless.

    i live in shimla
our hangout spot is mall road which is just a 2km stretch.
vehicles are not around on this road and you could see snowy hills of churdhar from there.
we just walk from one end to the other from evening till night.
since we all are habitual of walking long distance, we doesnt use any transportation to reach there but just keep walking from home to mall road and back to home.
we just sit for some time on benches at ridge near catholic church.
sometimes we go to dim suns to eat mutton dumplings which are totally awesome.
i think i am one of the lucky few who lives in one of the most beautiful places in india 😁

It's a mumbaiyya podcast. I always felt Mumbai kids would expect other city guys to just know mittibai or jamnabai etc college names or fantasy land etc. since I ve been there as a kid I get it. But surely many won't. I do agree the Teens today are less susceptible to wounds on knees n elbows. How sad! Loved the podcast though. I mentally visited Hyd hangout spots where I grew up

KT spoke so less in both the episodes combined, it seems that he didn't have a childhood.. He was just sitting at home and waiting to turn 19 so that he could leave for Dallas!! Great work though.. Got a bit nostalgic with the two videos..

Atleast 7-8 of my and my friend's hangout spots in our society have been restricted by elders. they told us to not be there even though we talked or played word games......

@neville shah I some how had strange feeling that you were from St. Peter's Panchgani.
You mentioned that in this podcast and also mentioned about Hill top icecream. Dude how can you forget Baban's and the most favorite of all Akbar Ali's Aloo Parathas..!!

Heya! The question I wanted to suggest ask- How all of you guys met became friends, when and how did you form the tribe of SnG?

I'm not entirely sure but I think they mention it in a podcast. It was Karan's idea to start SNG to give open micers in Bombay a platform. So Varun and him came up with the name and along with Brij Bhakta, they started to organise comedy gigs. Rest of the people joined in later.
