- when I googled this pipe inline sensor version, it's hard to get hold of and there is a rubber version thats £60. The plastic replacement is £120+ I only need the top fixed so I bought a few bits of hose cheap. under £20
this would ideally need a 50mm I'd to 55mm coupler 2 3/4inches long.
my version should hold out and not slip apart.
Thanks for this bro been looking for a few days where my problem is and its the exact same on my ford galaxy 1.8tdci must be a known issue going to do this exact same fix aswell which hopefully stops it from splitting again in the future
I hope the garage sorts my problem out as this is what they said it could be
My car has been in garage this is third day now they said there is oil round tubo the engine management light came on
Sorry, can you please write size of pipe? Thanks
Get a reducer hose, 57mm to 51mm ID
Hi. Did this work? I have the same problem. I can hear the turbo scream like a bitch and I've taped the crack a few months back but I don't think that's held. Also throws black smoke if I boot it
Hello yes it works and holds well if you clamp it tight. Theres a lot of pressure there so it trys to slip apart.
I have since replaced the pipe to sell the car.
@@MrBrynbryndt Thanks for this - Did you find a pipe with a sensor hole? or if not - how did you adapt to a pipe without the sensor and update the software pls??
Hello I bought a pipe that can accommodate the sensor. It has a plain round area. Drilled a hole in it, pushedcthe sensor thtough and screwed the self tapper in to the pipe. Seal it with sikaflex and it works
Dont do this 😂 replace the pipe for £40 .... tape the sensor out the way, it is not needed
