@@chanelz4201 She’s a powerhouse, she just doesn’t sing huge powerful songs often. She plays guitar and likes softer, jazzier songs. But I personally believe if she wanted to, she could sing Gospel and make those huge runs very easily. She’s a vocal beast, and NOT a teen bopper. She just sings pop, but if you gave her RnB or Gospel, you wouldn’t be saying this. Don’t sleep on Miss Tori!!!!

To even get where they are takes serious skill! They all have their weapons that make them stand out. Now in my opinion, this is how it goes.
Tori Kelly- Her placement is perfect. Never an ill timed riff. And they never sound muddy or like she’s doin too much.
Jazmine Sullivan- Her overall range and the fact that she adds in that bluesy feel with those scats and that rasp further makes the effect better. The fact that her voice sounds so heavy makes the fact that she’s so agile even better.
Keké Wyatt- The power behind her voice is unreal. Her approach is very technical. Her belted runs really pack a punch. Her breath support allows her to do some pretty impressive chain riffs(that’s what I’m calling them). Her speed and clarity is on point too.
Karen Clark Sheard- you can freakin hear the Holy Spirit influence in her riffs. She just goes off, and when your feelin it, you can do some pretty impressive stuff!

Absolutely!!!! First Lady Sheard (clearly I'm COGIC) is OLDER, HOWEVER, ALL of these women DESERVE the accolades that's due to them. ALL of them are BEASTS in the vocal riff and run department and I LOVE IT ALL!!!
Oh geez....that may have been meant to sound clever but at the end of the day, that fact is IRRELEVANT. If whatm you said really mattered then I guess that Whitney Houston shouldn't have attempted to do "I'll Always Love You" because Dolly Parton had done already done every riff before she was born too, right? Whitney also shouldn't have bothered with being Chaka Khan's background singer (read: the actual singer) when she recorded "I'm Every Woman" nor should Whitney have covered it later (which was like covering herself) because Chaka had already attempted every note when Whitney was in diapers! While we're at it, Whitney also shouldn't have bothered with the Star Spangled Banner because EVERYONE ELSE had done the riff before any of us were released from being captives in this country BUT despite all of these people having done the riffs well before Whitney, she STILL killed THEM ALL - which means that WHEN someone sings it doesn't matter. All that matters is how well they do it.

Tori Kelly always reminds me of a white beyonce when she rings riffs. I think they would be a better matchup. That run at 1:00 sounds like a beyonce run. She's definitely the "fastest" and arguably the cleanest (I say Karen is cleaner than Tori tho) riffer outta the 4 but I think KCS has this battle on lock.
Let me just say Keke is a beast and she got so much power behind her voice and she never fails. Tbh she can do whatever she wants. She can definitely hang with all the greats. And I think what seperates her from Tori Kelly is that Toris riffs are faster and slightly cleaner but she has to play it safe. Her riffs and runs are rehearsed whearas Keke can just RANDOMLY go all out and still maintain power and percision with her voice. Tori doesn't have the power that keke has that allows her to be creative and spontaneous. Tori is cleaned up while Keke is raw.
Jasmine got the soul. I think she'd be the best at slow runs and her raspy tone makes her more distinctive. Her runs be clean and persice too. I think she has more power than Tori and more precision than keke.... But she aint fucking with Karen tho.
Karen is the mutha fuckin beast of the group all the way around her runs are the most creative and any of the runs you hear today, she and her sisters already did them. They invented a lot of riffs and runs. Karen be riffing out high notes too with out thinking about it. She's definitely the most spontaneous differ of the group along with keke. I think between her a Tori Kelly got the cleanest riffs but then again there's keke too so idk. Keke kills it all the time and her creativity is only 2nd to Karen's. Shes all in 1 but I think kcs is the GOAT here.

Karen- She is an alien that has been singing out of this world for decades, an honorable range, always has 3 higher registers in her runs, echos her self, vocal creativity and style has inspired and guided singers of all categories, has the ability to harmonize and sweeten songs when she sings In a group, getting older has become more agile with higher notes in her career, and over all unmatched vocal style, ability, and creativity.

There would be no possible way they could battle the lady that introduced them to many of the various runs and riffs they attempt to pull off! Being a fan favorite doesn't make you a formidable opponent. IJS! If anything, Karen is in the league with Lashuan Pace, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Vicki Winans, Yolanda Adams, Kim Burrell, and her sisters! Lol. Although very ill matched, I absolutely enjoyed the video!

Interesting choice to group together. I would've left Tori and Jaz out of the same grouping with Keke and Karen, I just think their abilities and skills don't equal each other. Jaz is something totally different vocally, agility and tone wise, I probably would put her with Lahla Hathaway and Kim Burrell grouping. Tori, I would've put with Kiki Sheard, not the legendary riff/runner Karen Sheard or the out-of-this-world Keke Wyatt, who can sing do vocal acrobatics all day long. Jmo

Things Tori does they can't either! It's no joke to have that musical ear and practice restraint when needed! When it comes to agility shr doesn't oversing! Nor she does those repetitive runs...like others she comes up with something new each time and possesses perfect control with no sloppy gritty runs...but clean, complex and precise ones!
karen’s runs are the craziest but also hers sometimes go too far and gets muddy and lost in the song, but when she has restraint + control it’s not a problem

For 98 % of my life I thought keke was the best singer in the world but I must admit that I find myself getting way more chills from jazmine sullivan tori can blow and she would definently run with the best of them... i dont think that singing loud or high or having runs makes you a good singer it's the feeling you get when listening I cried for 2 days after hearing jazmine sing lost one and I cant even relate to that song, I dont even like cursing in my songs but sis put some stank on it and def sings it different everytime, she had me wanting to call people i dont know and apologize, because she put her soul into that song.. i wrote 3 poems and a song from hearing it.. I also think Karen is super creative with her voice but she doesnt always get it right.. no one range is better then karen although I prefer keke as a singer I'm gonna go with jazmine something so unique about her, karen may sing better then all of these ladies but she ain't neva made me wanna cry
