This video reminds me of the first few Rip Curl Search videos, had a real sense of adventure, not huge surf but good surf that most good surfers could ride, something missing in modern surf films.
Good on you for producing a good little surf short, that took me back to the better days of surf videos

Love it boys. Great vid. I have spear fished where you went over 25 years ago and often wondered if the swell could get in there. Every star aligned for you to get it that good.

I am going to Queensland, to Rockhampton specifically, and I hope I can surf at least 10% of your surfing. Great surfers, amazing sea, so beautiful. You look like very nice people.

Spot on Morgan. This is awesome, I much prefer this than the big budget, competition chase type stories. This was epic. Cheers Chesty

Great watch. I enjoyed that! I worked in The Witsundays for a year and being a surfer the no-wave-action killed me! I spoke to fisherman about waves on the outter reefs and they all had stories to tell. I just never had the opportunity to get out there search. The only time i scored a wave in that year was when a cyclone hit and 2-3 foot waves hit Airlie. Grabbed a torn up long board from a backpacker and weaved my way in & out of all the beached and broken yachts to paddle into a couple of pearlers. Was nothing spesh but very satisfying. I can only imagine whats out on those reefs waiting to be discovered.
Good stuff guys, keep up the search.

I live on the northern B.B.R and I have surfed a few locations but it's incredible to surf locations that no one else has surfed.

I know exactly where this is. My mates and I have been surfing there for 20 years. We locals call it Long Wall. That's not a bad day out there. There is a reef around the area (can't tell you where sorry) that is twice as epic and the rides are 20x longer. We call it Bunnies. No where near as hairy on the wipe outs either. Makes J Bay look like a garbage shorey.

I'm heading out there sunday boys, out to the shoals past North West! Should be insane with all this swell around! If I get some video i'll throw it up on youtube for sure. But it wont be anything on this, top video this one.

There's spots like this dotted all the way up the reef. Wrong time, wrong day, wrong wind, wrong tide, you'd never know you could get a wave there.

Mark Sheehan good for you Mark, if you look at the date this was posted and take 2-3years off that you would realise that this was right back close to when UA-cam was just launched, it was more about a me creating a surf film with my brother and sharing it with mates. At this point and time UA-cam was pretty much the only way. By no means are we trying to take away from the epic trips that previous surfers may have experienced at this break or other breaks. I hope you are still having fun surfing and sharing great experiences with your mates. Share the stoke mate😀😀👍👍👍
