I kinda want a boot animation where a bunch of boot animations of operating systems and consoles fight to be the boot animation before the steam deck comes out on top.
Actually found something similar. ua-cam.com/video/mLq_P0K4jvA/v-deo.html
Love how Valve didn't lock the Deck in any way. You want plugins? Go for it. Want to change boot animation? There you go. Want to emulate? Why not.
This is the key of success. Don't lock customers out their own things. Don't tell them how to play. People are amazing, let them express their genius.
wanna ruin your console by installing bloatware (by choice)? Lol go ahead

@@jakedeee_ You heard correct, cause that's the reason I'm saving up for it, like imagine playing switch games without the fps dropping, doesn't that sound good?
just in case people miss the joke: the SORSE-Video is a reference to 2kliksphilip, a youtuber who does a whole lot on the source-engine and mapping.
And it's the best boot animation. Anyone that disagrees is just incorrect.
@ClassicGOD Literally the worst animation. Not funny. Most people won't get it. Probably contains a virus. 0/10. F. Gave me cancer.
Made my boot the Futurama intro the moment I saw it love the on brand humor it has with the " half life 3 not included" 😂
The Phub one has to be the best one to drag attention to the Deck ^^
I can totally picture me travelling and booting my deck with a bit of volume just to laugh at the reactions XD
Now another thing that would be nice in the future is having the possibility to have a random boot screen each time based on the ones you downloaded.
Thanks for posting your videos this early, helps make my morning easier.
Using the steam deck as an emulator plus custom intro = something cool
I use the Frasier one.
I watched it when it was first out and in the UK it's still getting shown at breakfast time on weekdays, so enjoying it now all over again.
I think a boot vid should make you feel good and having a sitcom nostalgia moment does that for me
Those that goes to a skeleton view don't work well if you have a PIN-code on your deck as that is not the screen you land on. Actually it even cuts some movies early when using a PIN.
I want a pseudo 80s/early 90s computer startup screen, where is does a memory check and displays version info complete with floppy seek and loud hard drive noises.
Eyyy! Mine made it in at 9:32! Glad you liked it!
I made an updated one called Dream Deck (Dreamcast Boot) Ver 2.0. Hoping the site allows users to replace videos in the future. I can see revisions and updates cluttering the site at some point.
i love these boot movies but when i connect my steam deck to my 70 inch tv those boot movies up on a large screen looks bad ...so i stick with the default one :/
the love, death + robots animation is just clean and simple. doesn't go overboard on the effects. love it.
"Look look with your special eyes"
"My Deck!"
I have a lot of ROMs so it takes quite a while for my deck to boot up. 10 secs is the sweat spot so I don't get stuck with a loading screen after the video but it doesn't feel longer than I would have been waiting.
What website you was on see all of the steam deck boot screens?
i am getting mine soon and when it does boot up, and i have a sound video in the boot video, will it play the sound?
I love these. I went for a Matrix one that has the green glyphs coming down, but what I would really love to see (sadly don't have the time to do it myself since it's kind of hard) is
The Marvel Intro (from the Movies) !!!
Instead of "MARVEL" you could have "VALVE" or "STEAM DECK" and inside that 3D text the camera would fly by clips of gameplay from the most popular games.
What do you guys think? The original Marvel one has about 30 seconds of action, but the first ~20 seconds is just comic book inspired assets. Having both a ~10 sec and a ~30 sec Steam Deck one would be awesome.
The Xbox intro pairs nicely with the Xbox UI noises and background music with the audio changer Decky plugin
Heeyy mine was 4:30 I'm glad you liked it!
I use my steam deck as an OG xbox. LOL, I kinda want that Xbox boot screen. I was so happy to see the Xbox boot animation when I opened xemu for the first time. We had an Xbox, NES, and an SNES when I was a kid.
I think the community has been very creative with some of these, and the fact that Valve supports the idea of custom boot animations by making it really easy to add one is really cool.
My favorite it's futurama. I have been watching it since the first night it aired and I still watch it almost daily.
The better call Saul one was awesome!
I made an Outlaw Star one. It's admittedly too long but was the only way it was going to work. I think so many of these boot animations are awesome. I have a load of them set to random play using the Decky loader's animation changer plugin, which has its own easy downloader.
Still in the middle of downloading games and emulators no where near ready for the boot screens yet 😂
If you download and save a few you can set them to shuffle and mix it up on your deck
Howdy! Great video!! It may not get the stats that you’re looking for, but it was a lot of fun to watch and please make more like it! :) Btw I’m not saying that your other videos aren’t fun to watch. I just really like this style or genre of videos. Keep up the good work!!
Edit: Also, you earned yourself a new subscriber. God bless, and have a nice day Gardiner!
Half of these are just other startups with editing to say steam deck, quarter is unique, well done ideas, and the rest is memes
I love this community
I would watch an hour of these with you. Upload part two lolol
Thank you for watching my Dreamcast animation (with the Dreamcast logo) on it. :)
Thanks for being an inspiration! I started my channel almost a year ago doing switch content and you inspired me to get a steamdeck! (bring everybody together lol, we all are just gaming and having fun at the end of the day am I right?!)
I love the Futurama and the 80s retro one, but wish it was just the Steam logo not the outline of the deck.
3:30 When I get a Steam Deck, I'm using this one.
Not doubt about it.
Also, it's not just portal 2.
Every Valve game uses that intro.
Portal 2’s was slightly different than the others the guy only turned around in that one
ALL OF THESE ARE DOPE ASF
I don’t think I’ll ever play a Xbox or PlayStation ever again it’s been 7 years since I last used either one
The futurama one is perfect!!!
I love the morphing handheld one but man did they have to leave the Vita out like that xD
Yes, I love me some Futurama, so that intro was my favorite.
my favorite is the stock boot screen
The Windows one is inaccurate: The video should be wayyyy longer
Teetering between "Son, the default is 'nut" and "Why isn't there a Heavy Element one?!"
The original Xbox boot sequence is the best, nothing has felt so futuristic since that.
Futurama is my favorite show. Raised the kids watching it, and we watch through the entire series yearly.
can you imagine old school screensavers being added?
I have the pornhub intro for my boot up for my steam deck 🤣😂🤣 I tend to get nervous when I'm around family with my steam deck and I have to restart it or something
I need an "Evil Dead 2" Groovy.
I have seen how to do the boot movies but is there a way to put in multiple and have it choose by random each boot up?
And now Futurama is back baby.
i want the SEGA boot from sonic .
The one with just Steam Deck Logo in Black & White...
Show one with the "skeleton" on the Deck so we can see how smooth it works in action moving to the actual games.
I would love a dynasty warriors intro maybe the GBA version cuz it's so short.
I hate comparing the two, but just for the joke, someone gotta do a Pixar boot movie, where the Steam Deck stomps the Switch like the Lamp stomps the I.
That sounds really interesting, the only issue would probably be the length of the video. If I remember correctly that “intro” scene is decently long and drawn out.
Those skeleton outlines probably won't age well in a few updates
You can change the length of the boot movies by editing a file.
Question for installing the boot movies is it safe and will it effect the performance of the steam deck and how can I install them ?
Should be fine it's just temporary overwriting the boot image with a shortcut
A lot of them are longer than the default one making boot time longer, but performance won't be effected otherwise. The easiest way to install them is with the Decky plugin
Some one needs to do a firefly version
What website are you at???
Steam Deck Community :D phub one. thats what i have on my deck. people want to see what the deck is after that. kinda good
Valve, make the boot movies skippable!!
Actually a fair idea, love having the option to change it, but sometimes you're in a hurry
Long live the Gabecube hahah or Gabeboy?
Why does the desktop audio have like a cut off point where we can't hear it anymore
Some of these could cut parts out to have a shorter intro. Like the Switch slashed one, if it stopped there it would shave a couple seconds off boot time, the second part is unnecessary.
Make a boot screen called steamy upper decker with a loud fart toilet flushing sound
why is the sound so distorted on many of them.. like chopxhopxhopchop.. would never use :/
You didn't showed it be we all know it, my favorite is "Hello. Gamer. You. Are. Very. Good. At. Turning. Me. On."
can you make a "random" generator to pick one each time?
id like to see a conkers bad fur day one where conker pulls out a steam logo instead of rare
win 98 brings back memories of being younger playing age of empires on crap pc builds lol
Is there a bratz boot animation?
Link to the Frasier one plz 😂
Wish we had higher resolution bootvids for docked mode too
I would be down with a IP specific screen if I was actually playing a related game at the time. Or if they could show a random boot screen.
4:56 lmfao If you know, you know
I think all the Windows boot videos lack one important detail: the blue screen of death.
There are plenty of interesting videos to choose from. I'm currently using the Seinfeld video (don't ask me why), but I'll probably make my own boot video just for fun.
Gard, serious question. Only reason I haven't put on a boot video is because I've dual boot mine with windows and I basically always put my deck to sleep. Only time I've shut it down since getting it is when there is an update. Is that bad for the Deck? Should I be shutting it down more often?
I'm totally getting the Futurama one
I like the steam hub 😂 definitely have to try that
How could a kid put the full Shrek movie as an intro?
This makes me want a steamdeck
6:01 my absolute favorite, does anyone know how to install it?
Ooh I got a great idea for a boot movie! Someone farts and the Steam logo comes out! Eh? No? 😔
Once you can shuffle them, it will be really cool, but I prefer to build nostalgia around the Steam Deck branding.
The best boot video goes to Shrek.
Make a video showing the hardware mods people have done to they steam deck. I have done a cooling mod you can see it on ltt forum. Maybe first say in a video to people to send you they mods so that have many where you can chouse from and maybe make more than one video
Since there is a P-Hub intro, surely someone comes up with a H-ntai Waifu intro.
Now valve charges Steam Points for this :D
good lord I swear there was like 8 ads on this video😴
Someone needs to make a Rick roll intro
I'm kinda glad you didn't look at the one I made. Not really happy with it but you have to stop editing at some point or a video never gets done.
