Huge fan of speed paints and encourage everyone who is afraid of painting to try them out. These turned out great, and it was interesting to see your usage of other stuff like opaque yellow (which is impossible on anything except white primer) and the silver primer. I was really impressed with your brute minis and everything together looks awesome.

I don’t have any Zombicide games yet, but out of all of them my eye is on Black Plague. Marvel looks fun too! Thanks!

This was super interesting to watch how the colors went on over white primer. Lots of interesting ideas for Marvel United schemes too…
One super small thing I do differently. When painting base black rim, I hold the brush 90 degrees perpendicular to rim and rotate the base as much as move the brush. This keeps bristles in a point and is fast.
Anyway. Thanks again! Saved to rewatch specific heroes again! Hulk smash!

That's a great tip about painting base edges! I'll try it!

Hi Bum, I've worked it out, the red looks different due to it being on Silver rather than white. :)

Hi Bum, do you have a list of colours that you've used on each character? I've watched the video and I'm not certain of the red you've used on Iron Man, could you please advise. Cheers, Steve.

Hello, I, like you, have used PLA to 3D print numerous game scene models. However, recently I've noticed that objects printed with PLA may not endure for an extended period, with a lifespan of approximately two years. After this period, they become quite brittle, and this concerns me a lot. I wonder, how are the models you printed earliest holding up now, and how many years have they been around? Additionally, have you ever tried printing models with PETG material? I've heard that PETG has a much longer lifespan for preservation.

I haven't found my terrain to be brittle and I have prints that are over five years old. Maybe it is the brand of PLA? I have used Hatchbox, Overture Plus, and eSun Plus. More recently, I switched to Elegoo.
I print my cosplay props with PETG and it is definitely more resilient than PLA and less likely to warp with heat.

Rustoleum 2X UltraCover Flat White. It's about $6 per bottle at Walmart.

My gaming group like MZ "Resistance" way more than black plague (and they really like BP).

Not sure if you watched the What If... Marvel Zombies episodes, but it really makes me want them to do the entire Marvel Zombies series as an animated series.
Mavel Zombies is different enough from other Zombicide games that it's justifiable to keep even if you own one of the other versions.
I got the all-in, and so many miniatures to paint. Way too many.
I hope someone makes 3D printable terrain to replace the mats. Would look awesome.

Lol Marvel Zombies is easier game?! Agree to dosagree. Marvel Zombies is muuuuch harder game than BP or GH.

    • @gaminggeek241
      @gaminggeek241  6 місяців тому

Easier as in the rules. MZ has less rules than BP so is an easier entry point for new people.

@@gaminggeek241 as for old Zombicide player imho rules are pretty much the same. Some things works in different way, but for me BP has easier rules. Im fantasy base game you have just zombies, necromant, abomination and that's it. In Marvel you have soldiers, few super Heroes and every one of them act in different way you have to Rembertów, bystanders who run away and who combat, but if you pull escort card they no longer run away, but move with guards, but do not attack except for combat bystanders...and much much more rules. Black Plague in my opinion has pretty much stright forward rules.
And in terms of difficulty of a game, Marvel Zombies is much harder to complete mission than BP or Green Horde.

Those are not the best looking painted minis :/ I know the point was to make it fast buuut...they are not looking good. Maybe not the worst but if you want to enjoy the game and you play a lot, then you should consider putting more care to those minis.

Nope. I choose speed over quality and because of that, my gaming group is playing with a fully painted base box including the Guardians expansion with the X-Men Resistance box following soon. Each painter has to choose the balance between quality and time. I'm curious, how much of your set have you finished?

Most of the time, I use a #2 round sable brush.
