  • Aired on March 14, 2024, this webinar hosted by Wakaŋ Tipi Awaŋyaŋkapi and East Side Neighborhood Development Company, local experts shared their knowledge about the dangers of lead (Pb) and it's impact on the environment, and what you and your family can do to protect yourself from lead exposure. The webinar concluded with a thirty minute Q&A session.

    - Ilona LaDouceur and Alma Galvez, Lead Coordinators from Saint Paul Regional Water Services (SPRWS), who presented on SPRWS's Lead Free Pipe Replacement program in Saint Paul
    - Daniel Schmidt from Ramsey County Public Health and Razi Payne from the Minnesota Department of Health talked about their Lead & Abatement Program, Healthy Home Program and MDH's Lead Risk Program
    - Native Public Health Expert Serene Thin Elk talked about the impacts of lead on the American Indian community
    - Co-founder of Natives in VedMed Summer DuMarce presented on how lead impacts eagles and raptors
    - Friends of the Mississippi River's Water Program Director Trevor Russell talked about public policies regarding lead
    - This webinar was moderated by Wakaŋ Tipi Awaŋyaŋkapi's Environmental Justice & Stewardship Programs Manager, Jenna Grey Eagle, and Communications Manager, Clare Carroll
