While on vacation seeing ‪@Sharkie626‬ I bought a few items along for the ride. I wanted to test the Realistic Weatheradio I had in a different place to see if it could pick anything up. However, recently I saw a video by ‪@JordanU‬ and in that video, he explained that his Weather Radio was not picking up the broadcast due to the transmitter being down. It so turns out, that transmitter is at Brookhaven National Laboratory, just east of me on Lawn Guyland! At the time of this writing, that transmitter is still known to be down, but nonetheless, I was able to pick something up with it!
Next was the ATOMIX radio controlled clock, that should automatically set. Anyone care to guess how that one turned out?
And lastly was the Weather-Matic sprinkler heads, plus a bonus of the "rotating fan" hose-end sprinkler, under Sharkie's "Niagara Falls" water pressure. Too bad it wasn't sunny that day.

We had that first Octember inducing cold front last week, and my Heathkit GC-1000 went to standard time. Now that it warmed back up, it went back to DST. At least it self-corrected!
Man, that faen sprinkler did sound like a bumble bean at full chooch. That was awesome!

Very strange. It could sense the Octember vibes.
I was very surprised at that sound! I wonder if that was actually the sound of the water hitting the faen, or "bearing" noise on the center shaft. I'd love to give that a shot of silicone grease and see what it says next time!

@@jaykay18 Probably so, but being vintage, it self-corrected from WWVB's signal from Fort Collins, CO. Just like it's done since 1984. I'll have to do an update on that one, as it was put into service Octember, 1984 according to the data sheet. Man oh man, there is a story about the GC-1000, from 1984, I'll have to include on the update video. That's a regret, I didn't get my late grandfather on recording, telling that story!
I found a new old stock square spray faen sprinkler, and there are rubber spacers on the top and bottom of the faen blades. I will certainly be doing a video on that one. I may have comment the gramps had a blue one back in the day that I would play with. I know the rubber spacers were long gone, if they even had them to begin with. I also don't have the greatest water pressure, so no promises it will make any cool sounds.

@@dynatrak Interesting, usually not much a story on those type things, but this sounds like a doozy!
That's interesting about the spacers. I could see those being the first thing to go, yet it would still work.
When I was a kid, the most popular sprinkler was, and forgive me for not knowing exactly the name for it, but it was a yellow Nelson 3-arm sprinkler. EVERYBODY had those. They seemed to hold up quite well, except for the paint.

@@jaykay18 Come on now Uncle Jay, this is youtube, you're supposed to have every make and model of _all_ products ever made memorized. Then be able to diagnose, and fix any problem, remotely. Haha. However, being from the same era, I know which one you're talking about. Used to see those a lot. Yep, some less yellow than others! Many people around here used the Nelbert traveling traptor kine as well.
Oh yeah, I'm sure after one season sitting out in the sun, the UV light chooches them right off.
Real glad I wasn't there that day, I'm sure he was pissed, and cussing up a storm.

      @@dynatrak I can't say you're wrong!
I was wrong, I meant to say 3-arm sprinkler, by Nelbert. Typed 2 by accident.
I remember the Nelbert traveling trapter sprinklers, and in fact HAD ONE when I was a kid. Not sure what brand it was, and it wasn't around too long. I'd have to ask my dad, perhaps he said it was left behind by the previous owner? All I remember is it never really worked well. Hit the house and travelled way too slowly, if at all. Certainly a unique idea though.

I like this one because it tells you nothing about what you will find in the video. And, since nobody reads the prescription, they'll have to at least skim through the video _and comment before even watching it._

Sharkly 627🤣 When I had an atomic clock it worked, but due to daylight savings time I had to fiddle with it. It was the La Crosse Technology brand. You likely got a fake knock off atomic clock.
Lot of t-werping in this video, weather radio, clock, sprinkler. Ironically E p a has been busted polluting, I don't take them seriously.

I never studied the circuitry inside of it when I had it open. I seem to vaguely remember seeing an antenna, so that means it should be there, they wouldn't waste monye putting and antenna for nothing on the inside where nobody will ever see it. I mean, this IS a Walmart item after all...
That is true, there was a lot of twerping in this video, there are twerps for all of these items. I never did take the EPA seriously. All they ever do is stand in my way.

@@jaykay18 Oh a walfart special. No worries about the twerping, I learned I am a twerp too. The epa won't pay up for their mine waste spill due to claims of "sovereign immunity"....As usual gruberment agencies exempt themselves.

He doesn't call it the place with 150 psi wooder pressure for nothing! The voice tone of the weather station sounds very similar to the one over a call, a weather line that I use for the weather in Denver/Boulder. I'd certainly be curious how that Atomix clock would perform here, out west. Maybe If you ship it to me, I'll gladly film a video of it and upload it to my channel, just for you! Otherwise, if you want to come out and see the Rockies for yourself, that would sure be awesome now wouldn't it?

Wooder pressure, like soapy wooder. HEY GUYS, I barely make videos anymore! And I'm so ugly, I wear a helmet at all times!
That's not a surprise that it's the same voice. The transmitter that's down around here, has been reported to be down due to a Verizon issue! So that's how the voice is transferred. Nobody at Verizon is interested in fixing that in any sort of reasonable time frame. (What a surprise!)
I'd love to visit, but have no plans on boarding a plane anytime soon, or probably ever. Never had a good time flying, since I was a little kid. These days I have enough trouble in the car going over bumps since the gallbladder--they never put me back together right. Shipping that thing, eh, that's a little dicey too since the buttons are "delicate" to say the least. I think I might need to open this back up and Krazy glue the screws in that hold that button board.

@@jaykay18 I know a character that's ugly and wears a helmet all the time, a certain Jeffy from the SML YT channel. Maybe he's a kinky little washer twerp too, he's probably the king twerp of twerps....Traveling is no walk in the park and It can be a hassle sometimes, understandable. Red eyes are just brutal, I'll tell ya what! Avoid those if at all possible, though I suppose if it's to a different continent, you wouldn't have much choice.
To drive it's like 3 days. That would be a good old war story topic that I would definetly be interested in hearing about. Never knew that was a symptom of not having a galbladder. Makes sense as to why riding down a rollercoaster with xjoe81x is probably not something you'd want to do then.

@@saturnevan I've been known to pull long hours at the editing desk, until the wee hours of the morning, where my eyes are bleeding.
I have no idea why I'm like that, I only surmise they didn't put me back together correctly. I don't do rollercoasters anymore at my age, but I think it would be just fine with xjoe81x, as long as I'm sitting next to him. That _stuff_ rolls downhill, they say
