Great car. Rented one in Ireland. Good Diesel torque in the hills. My wife blasted the wheel on a curb. Had to throw on the spare for about 150 miles because it was Sunday and I guess the Irish are allergic to working Sunday’s. I learned, don’t let your wife drive with the steering wheel on the right, and overall Volvo was a cool ride.

Do you have the Bowers & Wilkins audio system? I also agree regarding the 20" wheels with the 4 corner suspension. I have the Polestar Software upgrade which is worth every penny Volvo charges for it.
@@JulezWinnfield Found a fully loaded one with all the bells and whistle for half the price on cars.com. I had to fly our over 800 miles to get it though. I dint mind since it was a 2016 with on 17K miles and still under warranty.
@@PatrickBonsi I've seen a couple of the 2016 XC90 First Editions for sale on Cars.com for around $40,000. I would've thought the original owners would hold onto them longer than 3 years. They made 1,927 of them with every available option as standard and they were supposedly collectors items.
@@JulezWinnfield Mine was not a first edition but was pretty close. The one I got had a lemon law for software issue with the airbag but was fixed with software updates. I guess the owner was not patient.
Interior is like no other car. Something that most folks don't see or even think is passive safety and that's even more important than "shiny stuff". If you even have a chance to open the door jam in any Volvo and compare it with other manufacturers, you'll see the difference. I (as someone who has never used the system so take this with a grain of salt) HATE the infotainment system. I hate how there’s no physical buttons for climate control. There’s two things I care about being physical buttons: climate and volume. I hate that they didn’t include physical climate controls. Also, the screen just looks horrible in the way they implemented it into the dashboard.
According to the 2018 US JD Powers Initial Quality Survey, the average Lexus has .84 problems in the first year, and the average Volvo has 1.22 problems the first year, so you can probably expect 1 problem either way. And Volvo has a totally revamped line, which usually pushes down your reliability ratings for a while. But great job repairing the problem on the XC90 here by the dealership.

Maybe it is some setting that can be changed. My 2019 US spec XC90 lets me drive without a seatbelt, but it won't let me use cruise-control until i buckle up.

It's tried, driven across England and returned in this car, the top model. It's simply the worst junk, everything is old-fashioned, the adaptive speed pilot is choppy, the driving is choppy and the lane assistant is simply so poor that it shouldn't be activated. The gearbox in no way gives a smooth ride and so there is no power in the driveline. The feeling is that you drive with the handbrake applied. In such an expensive car you have to say total dump character. We have a Suzuki Vitara with 140 hp petrol engine, automatic transmission and adaptive speed pilot in the company. It runs far better, more comfortable and much smoother, but at 1/3 of the price. The Volvo XC90 is simply a joke, built to impress Chinese, but Volvo is also Chinese owned.
We feel like you've got behind the wheel of lowest possible trim "in the rainy day" :D If you would ever try T6 inscription especially US version you'll change your mind!

Unusual. Usually Cadillacs and Volvos are bought by totally different types of people, and they're hardly ever cross shopped.

Won’t drive until you put the seat belts on... LOL 😂 I get your point on emphasis on safety...but not true...
It really does tho. When you try to drive without your seatbelt it automatically puts the parking brake on.

Leo Nicolussi It probably is I know they started it with the S90 when it came out. Interesting that the cruise control won’t work tho.
@@leonicolussi5868 We've noticed that too. Right now some Volvo models do that and some don't. Could be a menu setting but we couldn't find it.
