Thanks mate! I have the CH2573 chrome chronograph watch with black neoprene rubber wristband (looks exactly like the one in video). I looked all over the dang internet for the battery # to replace mine and could not find it but saw this video.

@@wolfeman1966 Thanks. I actually just used my calipers to gently unscrew the back and held the watch in my palm. Then, used a precision flat head screw driver to pry off the retainer holding the battery. There's actually a part on the side that is clipped over plastic. You won't have to bend that top piece up because it being released from the side allows it to raise without tearing it up. :)

I read an article about watches called '10 things you did it wrong with your watch' and one of these 10 things was that you always should replace your battery at an specialized workshop or by waranty because may occur mist if you try to change by yourself. And the article said that if the workshop is pro they would vacume the air from the watch after replacing the battery and than they would seald it. This is the reason why I asked you :) (sorry for my english if I have some mistakes ) :)))

I opened the back cover, removed the crown, but the blue metal board to which the parts showing the watches are attached looks wider than the sidewall of the watch, I couldn't remove it. Does the glass in front of the watch have to come off for this? In short, what is the way to do this?

    David good morning.
First I must ask... Who has told u that the air is vacuumed ..??🤔
And u must bare in mind all watches are made to be opened to replace battery's ... Unless its doesn't need a battery..
If u take a fossil watch for a new battery in a fossil shop... The girl or guy serving will do it in front of u or in the back office.
Now if u have changed ur own battery and u r seeing moisture on ur watch face inside then that means u have probably lost ur back plate rubber seal.
Please explain the situation u r facing at this moment so I can assist u in more detail.

The tool is cheap enough on amazon and will prevent you from accidentally scratching the back cover with the long nose pliers. You don't want to do that with more expensive watches. But even if just a fossil watch, a scratch is still a scratch.

I've never paid for a battery for any of my fossil watches. Just take it in to a fossil store and they replace it for you free of charge. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Our closest one is about 30-45 minutes from where we live, so i just keep track of my battery percentage and if it gets too low i pop in a store when im already in the area

Hi there! Firstly , I am not a watch expert. I got a new watch as a gift and it had not battery on it, the battery was in the box and I tried putting it on my own. I somehow opened the wTch but, when I put in the battery , there was this small thing near the battery hole, I think it is called a spring. The one that touches the battery terminals. That part broke and I don't know what to do. This part is really small and is there was way to fix it back to the watch? Thank you!

+wolfeman1966 Waiting for your reply and thanks for the quick come back. This is an issue that a lot of chronograph watch owners are complaining after the battery change. Some of them said that the problem was solved after making contact betwen the battery "+" and the AC (all clear) slot. Would gladly apreciate if you can also confirm the existance of the AC slot on this watch model, for it is the only video that I found and the mechanism was shown. Thanks again for the quick replay and i realy hope you can come back with this requested information not only for me but for a lot of owners that encounter this issue.

Good morning ... Just a quick question when you had to change the battery was it because it was dead completely...?
If so it may be that you had pressed the chronograph button and so when putting in the new battery made it work and that could be why.
What did you do to stop it from going around...??
Was it by pressing a button.??
These questions are to help me replicate your situation to find the correct answer.
      Many thanks
