Conor Used to feel that way about brighten the corners too until I really listened to it and it's as good as the first 3 imo but not better than wowee zowee :-) It's a more mature malk and I dig it but you still got malk freaking out on embassy road and the bsides too. Every song is fantastic and even spiral's songs are solid. Favs are starlings, Fin, type slowly and blue Hawaiian, transport too and of course the 2 singles !
You must be on crack. Or too cool. Brighten and Terror are both great. Pavement are like the VU, all killer no filler. They just made five great albums instead of four.

They always had keys, but they just put a lot more emphasis on them here!

Pavement is a wonderful tragedy. They're last album could have been they're best, but it was their worst, and it's still great!!
