Lets fix a non booting Bally pinball MPU

Sometimes ya get lucky. Follow me as i walk you through how i fix non booting bally pinball computer MPU boards. It's not always this easy but sockets are always a great place to start.

Lots of good advices here in this video. Just one thing. Your’re blasting those through holes with that large solder tip. Try using a smaller one. Its well worth it.

At 1:50 you have your probe at "spot 38". What's that? It looks like it's touching pins 39 and 40 of U10. Please advise.

My Dolly Parton mpu has a red lamp instead of green, is that normal. Either way it's not coming on at all.

Stern pinball boards are interchangeable with Bally's of that era and have a Red LED. If it doesnt boot this video was a quick guide. Lots of info on the web you can refer too. Hope you figure it our!

Hello I have the led blinking 4 times

Google Bali MPU flashes four times and a lot of articles will come up. 4 flashes is almost there!

I'm working on a strikes and spares right now and it too had 4 flashes. I put left pressure to the lower left connector j4 on the mpu and it booted up. I removed each pin on it and sanded the black off each pin ok now.
