Check the video showing the difference between the types of personalization - laser engraving and foil embossing (stamping of letters or images).
The color of laser engraving is always dark brown/grey and it looks good only on light colors of leather (on dark colors it looks almost inconspicuous). The advantages of the laser engraving type of personalization are:
- opportunity of choosing fonts
- more than 10 symbols can be engraved.
The color of embossing depends on color of foil. Hidemont uses 6 colors of foil, so you can choose among them the one you like more.
The advantages of embossing:
- it can be made either plain/blind or in color (red, peony, blue, silver, gold, rose gold)
- looks great on any color of leather
But note that for embossing you can choose only Arial uppercase font with up to 8-10 symbols.

isn't it possible to mask the leather before engraving and then paint on it. i have tried it but even the leather paint won't hold on to it good.
