Love the sound of that Telecaster. Michael Bloomfield used one, too. Bloomfield, like Tab, never used effects; just what he called "bare knuckles" guitar playing. A good, honest sound with no gimmicks to distract from the player's ability.
Just saw these guys. Seen him in dive bars up til now. He was in an acoustically great venue and they were fire!! Came out after show to greet his fans. A class act all the way!!
Chris Thomas King, a blues singer/guitarist (played "Tommy Johnson" in O Brother, Where Art Thou?) has a new book where he says the blues really developed in New Orleans before spreading outward to the Delta.
@@gman323232 , two Cat 5's, when I've seen him play. One is larger than the other. Oh he does have one "effect" on stage to add some bite to his tone: an alligator head!
It's ''best version'' because of the visual. Yes, I know the audio might be a bit heavy, but it's not as bad as many others out there. Thanks for watching my video of Tab.
Just the feelin of it and the video of it, and yes the sound is distorted but so was jimi hendrix, pete townshend, buddy guy, eric clapton, frank zappa, peter green, nils lofgren, luther allison, otis rush, greg koch, prince, eddie van halen, and the godfather of distortion - link wray. A lil distortion never hurt no one . But, I understand you're hurtin. LISTEN...feel....enjoy.......And, if you don't, move on.
I'm not talking about guitar distortion, I'm talking about the overall audio, like a speaker being over-driven. Here's a nice clean sounding one. ua-cam.com/video/1ohftVnpzEs/v-deo.html
Tab's one of the best bluesmen out there on the scene today.
He's the real deal.
+Roger Steinbrink He played the hell out of that guitar!

Love Tab's Music, love Louisiana music and Crawfish too
One more for the road!!!!! Go Tab!!!!
Just three guys, small equipment --- but they work great! --- Thanks for sharing!
Try playback at .75 speed.. makes it more "sultry" versus a more rapid example of Tab's fret board mastery.
I have just came back to this, still great stuff, thanks `bluzdudemi` from Australia.

ROCKIN !! 5 STARS
I love that guitar tone. Anybody know what kind of amp he's playing through?
cat 5 , straight to the amp for over 30 years

Tab is so sick he needs to see a doctor!!! What an amazing player!!!!
The All too soft hearted agin.
If this is the best version, I'd hate to hear the others. 100 watts of pure unadulterated distortion.
