Great hunt, I ordered a patriot back in early October and am patiently waiting for its delivery… I’m certain it’s worth the wait!! Be safe and god bless.

When the 🐿 starts sounding sometimes I’ll aim at them and they’ll run off and quiet down lol

Awesome buck sign! I know you'll be right back in there next season. As for the squirrels, I've thrown sticks at them many times, but that usually just makes them bark even more! I tend to just try to tune them out, listen past them as best as I can, and continue moving along .

Great video as usual! I almost expected to see a full grown bead by the end of the 12 minute video.

If I can see the squirrels I whip a stick up at them. I figure deer are use to hearing sticks fall out of trees.

With the ground like that, anything within 150yrds is going to hear you. Makes it difficult. Just have to find a good spot and stay still.

Jeff, What shoulder mount do you use with your camera?

Hey Jeff great content! Those squirrel barks are annoying, but before I shrug it off I really look and pay attention to the woods around me. I have had Blue Jay's tip me off to incoming deer more than once. The first time it happened I thought it was coincidence, but I have had it happen a few times since then. I often wonder if maybe squirrels will sometimes bark at an incoming deer too?!!

I couldn’t agree more. I’ve also had the same thing happen with owls. I see them take off out of a tree and the deer is not far behind. I have also had it happen with fox a bunch of times. If I ever see a fox while in stand I’m expecting to see a deer

Hahaha. I usually chuck a rock at him. Squirrels can be a pain in the neck

Yeah. Where’s the beard? Didn’t recognize you. Lol. Crunch is definitely the word. Ugh.
