Brokenwood is one of my favorite shows. I don't watch a lot of tv but every year I binge watch that one when Acorn TV puts out the latest season. I lived in New Zealand for a few years as a child and miss it still, decades later. Thanks for sharing your day out.

Likewise my wife and daughter! They are mad on it. Aotearoa is one of those places that leaves an abiding feel/memory, eh? Thanks for commenting!

Hopefully so! It's well worth the miles/kilometers/blood/sweat/tears to get here. Thanks!

We are blessed with warm/hot weather at this time - which makes 'snow' odd to find on decorations! I've been here 17 years now, and still can't get my head around it! Hopefully you have a great time at this time.

Goodness, 17 years is quite some time. New Zealand is such a lovely place. I would love to visit one day. Oh yes, I think a hot Christmas would take some getting used to. It's really quite cold here in the UK at the moment, so such a contrast. I hope you have a lovely time with your family over Christmas, too. We will just be having a quiet one this year. We are moving fairly early in the new year so we will be pulling crackers as we pack. 😂 Thanks again for the fun video, Mark. 😃

Your grandchildren are absolutely delightful! I vividly remember being in first grade and learning that your summer coincides with our winter. Growing up in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, that realization completely blew my mind-it was one of those moments that made me realize just how much more there was to learn about the world, something I'm still working on.

It still gets me how - compared to the UK - the moon is upside down! Plain odd. I still can't get over a hot Christmas. Thanks!

I love Brokenwood! With my NZ obsession I came across it years ago and have watched it through a couple of times and I a currently in the middle of my third attempt. In the States we have Acorn TV which is a British-American streaming service that carries NZ shows along with some Australian, Canadian, and UK programs which is very convenient. Better than the TV shows are the cute grandkids though!

NZ hits above its weight in some ways - films especially; and Xena and Spartacus etc. Thanks for the kind words! As you said in your recent video - nice to spend time with loved ones. Cheers!
