Imagine getting to teach something that you've been doing for over 92 years. That's experience that nothing can buy, and we get to see it. Thank you so much.
@@Saba15-t9d I found out years ago, living with my Italian grandparents, you don’t need these fancy stoves and other gadgets in your kitchen to make a fantastic Italian meal!
I was watching this with my wife... And when I saw her fold the first dumpling, I said, "wow, she dances with her fingers, as if she's got a rhythm in her head." -- and I guess I wasn't wrong. So impressive!
The most important part is that they don't aspire to laziness like we do in the west. Many of these old people still walk miles and work every day for their entire lives, which keeps them much younger than the people who spend their later years sitting on the couch watching TV.
I am watching this, jaw agape. First, this is an area of Italy that I know nothing about and I thank you for shining a light on it. Second, I cannot even believe that Battina is 99 years old. Those culurgiones look delicious. The way she handles the utensils and strides around the kitchen would be the envy of someone a third of her age. Another home run of an episode! God bless!
I agree 100%.You can see the sparkle in her eyes. Her hands are so deformed, yet she continues on. I unfortunately have osteoarthritis in my hands too and find life hard at 63, im a baby compared to this angel.

fabulous. Battina looked like she was dancing when she folded the culurgione. She has such a sense of humour, charm and a lovely smile. I think she moves like a much younger person. I am impressed. Thanks for this lovely edition of Pasta Grannies. Italy will be my next trip.
What an amazing kitchen she has .... like a little museum for old kitchen tools. Just a few days ago I was at one Ethiopian store where they had green coffee beans and I inquired about a roaster exactly like Battina has on her wall. My grandmother always roasted her coffee in one like that and grandpa's job was grinding the roasted beans using a beautiful copper grinder for their Greek/Turkish style coffee. Very lucky the person who will inherit Bettina's kitchen. Great video this one ! Love her enthusiasm.
I have said this before and i will say it again . This really is a great series . I watch pasta grannies every Friday night with my young son . It is now a firm tradition .
