I really enjoyed this video! It’s always fun to hear how someone started buying luxury! I found your story especially relatable starting with contemporary brands and going from there. For your q&a, I would love to know more about your work or what you went to school for and anything else you’d like to share. No pressure to share anything too personal of course!
Great video, Carol. My mom was not (and still isn’t) into luxury, so I didn’t really start my luxury “journey” until after college as well. Would love to hear more about your job with the department store. 😊❤️
Yay, I am so happy you decided to make this video! It's funny, my first designer items were Juicy Couture too 😅 My family has always been more interested in fine jewelry as well, but I enjoy luxury items as well. Looking forward to your Q&A 🥰
Great video, I really enjoyed getting to know you on a more personal level 💕 I bought the exact same bags as you for my first 2 bags! Q&A: What are your hobbies / how do you spend your weekends apart from shopping?
Great video! Haven’t loved watching you from the beginning you are so down earth, friendly & knowledgeable. Question for Q & A: How many children do you have? Girls? Boys? Ages? And do any of them show signs of leaning toward their own luxury journey? Yes yes & yes on the stroll down memory lane w/ vintage contemporary brands! AND also, YES on your dept. store employment! Ps you pronounced D&B perfectly! Thank you!
I was into cars in my 20s.. Only started buying bags mainly to look more presentable for work but still didn't feel like i need 20 bags. I am not into hermes either.. The bags don't appeal to me but I do like the kelly belt! Lol. I have it for years now and still love it.
Can totally relate on when first purchasing luxury bags and thinking I knew what I was doing then facepalming myself when I look back at it. 😆 As much as I would like to add another luxury bag to my collection, I'm taking a hiatus until I figure out what I really want. 🙈 Would love to hear a bit more of your time at the retail department job!
Thanks for Sharing your journey. Im in NY also & my lux journey is very similar to yours.God knows how much I have wasted on items that I ended up selling for a loss. After so many mistakes I finally know what I love & buy mindfully. Would love to hear about your previous job & the discounts you got there :)
@@CAROLCHANNELINGCHIC Omg my shoe obsession just started. Im going down that rabbit hole lol I just can't seem to stop buying shoes specially with all these designer sales recently.
Sounds so similar to my luxury “journey” 😂 grew up in lower manhattan, never really had family or people around carry luxury bags but got introduced to coach and Michael Kors in high school. Managed to wait until my first real job after college for my first luxury bag 😬 just got a Kelly belt but feeling ehhh about Hermes currently (but I do want a b or k eventually 😭)
Ooh how are you liking the belt? I've heard that it loosens as you wear it because there's nothing holding it in place with that sliding mechanism and I'm not sure if that would bother me. I love how the belt looks though...
This video reminds me of the old youtube days (less ads, more like people uploading about things they are enthusiastic about). ❤

I tried to buy my mom a Gucci Soho Disco a while back and she practically scolded me for even thinking of spending so much money on a bag for her 😅

Haha my mom has accumulated quite a big jewelry collection but she barely wears any of them because she saves them for special occasions 🤦🏻♀️

Can’t get any more classic than a classic flap and neverfull 😆🤩

Thanks for watching my videos and supporting my channel this whole time 💖
High school! ❤️ I feel like we were into tokidoki, longchamp, and all the north face bags (especially the pandora) 😂 good times!
LOL omgosh yes! I think my mom still has all of those lying around somewhere too 😂

Ooh good to know you love the belt! Do you find that it loosens as you wear it because there's no traditional belt buckle locking it in place?
@@CAROLCHANNELINGCHIC I wear it on the waist on dresses, so no problem. If worn on pants yes it might loosen through the day

You've made some great choices in bags though!

Haha yes the worst ones for me are shoes. I don't even want to think about how much money I lost on them 🤦🏻♀️

Ahh yeah the sales are so tempting. I also picked up a few things from the sales. My newest obsession is now jewelry 🙈
@@CAROLCHANNELINGCHIC ohh can't wait to see your unboxing
