I appreciate the message, but this lesson is too simplistic. What the Holocaust did for me, was give me millions of reasons to hate the Nazis and people like them. I believe it is beneficial to feel anger towards those who cause harm. So is studying those 'historical and political' reasons, which you dismiss. Are you telling me that the Great Depression (resulting in mass unemployment in Germany), deceptive propaganda and a history of anti-semitism in Europe had nothing to do with the Holocaust?
