- "The Reunion" brings together one of WDIV's most iconic broadcast teams for the first time in years. Carmen Harlan, Mort Crim, Chuck Gaidica and Bernie Smilovitz re-unite to reflect on the station's legacy during its 75th anniversary in Detroit television.
Nostalgia overload.
It would be so awesome if all three came back to do news for just an evening, the ratings would go nuts.

We were spoiled in Detroit with the great anchors at 2,4,7 and 50. Legendary at sports broadcasting with Ernie Harwell and Paul Carey as well.

I was lucky enough my parents weren't sticklers on a certain time to be in bed as long as I didn't give em grief in the am to be up for school. I was also lucky that I watched these 4 people at 11 pm before I watched Carson who'd I stayed up for (I was a weird kid, not much has changed) but now I realize I think while I stayed up to watch Johnny I never made it through his show without falling asleep. It was this wonderful team who kept a kid interested enough to watch the whole broadcast. Waxing nostalgia is never a bad thing. Thank you for this reunion show.

Had a thing for Carmen Harlem watching the Detroit news when I was at Western Ontario in London Ontario. London was caught between Toronto and Detroit. It was awesome

This team is a part of Detroit like Faygo and BetterMade. Mort's demeanor should be the standard for news anchors. Carmen was one of my boyhood crushes. But beyond that, she well represented her city during some of our city's brightest and darkest moments. Chuck is still the best I've seen at making weather fun. And Bernie's personality was the right fit for the athletes and coaches we had in the 80s and 90s. You are all well-loved, well-respected, and dearly missed.
Good to see Ol Mort on there again! I remember when he was doing those Gardner White furniture TV commercials

I remember when Bernie left the station and was replaced by Van Earl Wright (around '93?). I did NOT like Van Earl and was happy that Bernie came back (he was lucky to get his old spot back).
