- After tearing down the transmission, we learned that it severely overheated (shocker). I decided to step up keeping the transmission cool with multiple different improvements.

I've been doing my research for weeks on which headers I need for my truck, I honestly have the same exact build as you, my truck is still a 1970 long c10. Are the headers you ordered stainless steel?

I have been following your build fantastic work.... I have a question about your firewall blower motor removal ..... what will you do for heat in your truck or are you gonna run w/o it ? I am working on my 69 c20 and trying to decide if the blower motor should stay or go Thx
Not doing heat. Don’t plan on driving in the cold. Heated blanket for the wife if she needs it

does header wrap help the longevity of the header too? or just make everything else around the high heat last longer?
The headers are stainless so they’re going to last awhile regardless. Keeps everything under the hood much cooler.
Have you put transmission back in?
