Hope you enjoyed the video, I've been wanting to make it for a long time ^_^ Here's some more practical tips as well:
1. Don't be afraid to post similar content on different platforms (same pic on Twitter, IG, FB etc)
2. Network with people of similar size, instead of reaching out to streamers that are already popular and unlikely to see your message.
3. Plan your streams around consistent times + when a category has the least amount of competition (typically 6AM - noon PST).
4. Spend more money and time on your content than on your set up (granted you have good upload speed and a decent PC ^_^).

Lol that is so ridiculous. So you are silent until someone joins? You realise there is delay right? So someone will join. Listen to you be silent for 2mins and leave. Then your counter will update to 1 viewer. You will say something but they are already gone. Its like pokimane was saying. The opened the door. Your content was shit. And you are left with no one.

Just talking on your stream in general is good. I always commenting on what I'm doing.
Always talk to your stream, even if you have 0 viewers!! Imagine someone comes into the stream and you're not saying much or nothing at all... they might leave straight away. Keep talking, commentate on what you're doing. I find that having a friend on Discord and just talking to them on stream really helps, and people like to join in :D

Funny thing. One afternoon I had finished streaming and was kinda bored. Didn't know what I wanted to do so I went and watched one of my past streams and that took up the rest of my afternoon. I just watched for a bit then got hooked

"inversely" means the relationship between two things works in opposition, btw
I was also confused when she said "inverse" rather than "direct". However, I then realised she meant "the more views you already have, the less interactive you need to be" rather than "the more interactive you are, the more views you will get".
If I had to guess, I'd say that the overall relationship between viewers and interactivity would be a direct relationship, but that wasn't her point in this case.

I mean, i used to to that on my streams when i had 0 or 1 viewer. After 4 months streaming i have around 20 viewers :) for me this is really important if u want to grow. I still do that when there is just a few people talking in the chat. It is a really great tip.

Hi poki! Thank you so much for these tips. Somehow, it made me think about how I am starting on things. I preferred to be a faceless streamer, because I am not comfortable with talking at the camera. But just talking I think helps me build my confidence with public speaking. Also, I just use streaming as a way to motivate me to finish the games I have that I played but never continued playing and these games are even good. Most of all, since I don't really intend to make livestreaming as my main source of income and I still hold a stable job, I find livestreaming as my way to unwind from the stresses of my work and I work as a marketing coordinator, so these tips are definitely something similar to how you promote a product. Besides, you and the things you do are the product that is being promoted. Anyway! Thank you again, Poki

@@Tilted_Titan3391 by game servers, my best bet is they're referring to discord gaming servers. Discord is like a huge app to talk to people, and there's tons of different servers for different things, usually in game servers people are talking about game related stuff and looking for new content to watch or playing games together and etc, join one and see if they have an advertising channel, and if they do share your content in it.
