▼Synopsis
An one-off drama aired as the 10th episode of the total 22 episodes of ""Masterpiece Period Drama"" series in 1987. The original story is ""Hitogoroshi,"" a novel by Shūgorō Yamamoto, also known for being adapted into a film starring Yūsaku Matsuda. Attention should be paid to Tsunehiko Watase's rare portrayal of a timid character, showcasing his outstanding acting skills.
Echizen Fukui Domain. Futago Rokubei (Watase Tsunehiko), who backs down even at the sight of a gecko, is called ""Coward Samurai"" by others. His sister Kane (Konoha Noko) blames him for not having any marriage proposals. One day, the lord's martial arts instructor, Nitō Kouken (Gō Wakabayashi), kills one of the lord's attendants, Kanō (Shigero Shirai), and flees, leading the angry lord to issue an order to kill him. However, there is no one in the domain who can match the swordsmanship of Nitō. Rokubei, in order to clear his long-standing dishonor, volunteers to be the one to kill Nitō and sets out on the journey, leaving behind Kane who tries to stop him in tears...

kind of funny but nice movie, the figthing is completely unimportant .... only at the start there's fighting with swords ... when you're not strong, you have to be smart... and still brave..
