Hero Impulse is available in four dazzling shades. They include Grassland Green, Terra Rossa, Canyon Orange, Tar Black and the Deep Sea Blue.
The commuter gets a 12.46 cc engine which delivers an acceptable power of 13.2 PS at the rate of mere 7500 rpm and a peak torque of 13.4 Nm at just 5000 rpm. It features a Variable Ignition controlled Carburetor and comes with CDI ignition. The mighty cockpit coupled with 5-speed manual transmission gearbox for an up to the level performance. The front suspension is telescopic type with hydraulic shock absorbers while the rear one is the Swing Arm type which offer a jerk free and a hassle free ride.

2010ൽ ഹീറോ & ഹോണ്ട പിരിഞ്ഞ ശേഷം ഹീറോ 'temporary license' ൽ ഉണ്ടാക്കിയ 4 ഹോണ്ട വണ്ടികൾ ആണ് Impulse (NXR150), Ignitor (CBF Stunner), Passion X Pro (Dream Yuga) & Maestro (Activa). മേൽ പറഞ്ഞ 4 വണ്ടികൾ ഉണ്ടാകാൻ ഹീറോക്ക് 4 കൊല്ലം, അതായത് 2014 വരെ മാത്രമേ അനുമതി ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നുള്ളൂ. ഹോണ്ട NXR150 എന്ന 'dual sport' വാഹനം യാതൊരു മാറ്റവും കൂടാതെ ആണ് ഇന്ത്യയിൽ ഹീറോ 'Impulse' ആയിട്ടു launch ചെയ്തത്. Impulse/NXR150 ഒരു 'global model' വണ്ടിയാണ്. ഇന്ത്യൻ Unicorn/CBZ/Hunk നെ അപേക്ഷിച്ചു Impulse ന്റെ എൻജിനിൽ 'balancer shaft' ഒക്കെ ഉണ്ട്, അതാണ് 90+ലും വൈബ്രേഷൻ ഇല്ലാതെ ഓടുന്നത്. 2014ൽ ഈ temporary license ഹീറോ 3 കൊല്ലം കൂടെ, അതായത് 2017 വരെ extend ചെയ്തു മേടിച്ചയ്യിരുന്നു. എന്നാൽ 2017 വരെയും impulse നു യാതൊരു ഡിമാൻഡും ഉണ്ടായില്ല. പിന്നീട് 2017ൽ Jio 4G വന്നതും, UA-cam ന്റെ അതിപ്രസരം കൂടിയതും,2019ൽ Xpulse ഇറങ്ങിയതും, ഹീറോ Xpulseനെ aggressive ആയിട്ടു promote ചെയ്യുന്നതും കൊണ്ടാണ് Impulse നു വൻ ഡിമാൻഡ് ആയത്.

Reason 1: അന്ന് ഉളളവർക്ക് അഡ്വഞ്ചർ വണ്ടി എന്താണെന്ന് വലിയ അറിവില്ലായിരുന്നു.
Reason 2: ഇത് എല്ലാവർക്കും പറ്റിയ വണ്ടി അല്ല.
Reason 3: വണ്ടിക്ക് പവർ കുറവായിരുന്നു. 13 bhp പവർ , 13 nm ടോർക്ക് ആയിരുന്നു വണ്ടിക്ക്. പവറിനേക്കാൾ ടോർക്ക് കൂടുതൽ കിട്ടുന്ന രീതിയിൽ ആയിരുന്നു വണ്ടി.
പക്ഷേ അതിനേക്കാൾ നല്ലത് ഈ വണ്ടിക്ക് പറ്റിയ എഞ്ചിൻ 2015 ൽ ഇറങ്ങിയ Xtreme Sports ആയിരുന്നു. 15.82 bhp പവറും 13.5 nm torque ഉം ആ എഞ്ചിന് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. ഒരു ടൂ വാൽവ് എഞ്ചിനിൽ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന മാക്സിമം പവറും അതേസമയം നല്ല ടോർക്കും ആ വണ്ടി നൽകിയിരുന്നു. ഇന്നത്തെ പല 150-160 (except mt&r15) നേക്കാൾ നല്ല acceleration Xtreme നു ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.
