California over the years has been in the news due to a lot of the fires during the summer months. Guy usually makes it a point to come to areas that are impacted and cook for the firefighters and people that have evacuated. Really big of him and it means a lot to us and those communities
unfortunately they stopped doing it but he show "the next food network star" provided so much insight into tv food/cooking programs. one interesting piece of advice they gave contestants. they tell them to eat small portions. 1. they have to eat other items and dont want them to get full. 2.if it is bad or not cooked well. less likely to get sick if you eat a small piece. 3. you can be more descriptive and taste the flavors off of a small portion instead of the whole thing which tends to overwhelm the palate.
