Thank you so much for showing me how to do little capped sleeves! AND the burrito roll! I started off just planning flutter lace sleeves, then lace capped sleeves then I went the whole hog and lined them, did a burrito roll and hey presto - I’m delighted! I never thought I could have done this! Thank you, thank you!
That was brill, love the way you lined and turned it right way out with the safety pin. i always wondered how that was done. so neat. the inside as good as the outside.
Thank you so much for this fantastic tutorial. I've been wracking my brains and scouring the Internet to work out how to do this for a week! So happy to have found your video. Looking forward to seeing the other tutorials you've made!
Very very beautiful design of sleeve very easy way of teaching and stiching i like it looking very beautiful pattern thanks madam for this nice design of sleeve
Marina awesome indeed and very very clear explanation this time I learnt something about cap sleeve your video was so interesting thank s for sharing marina
Thank you. We learn something new every day. When I go shopping and look inside of clothes I often go, Uh that is clever, and off I go add that to a lesson. :)
Thank you, so much to learn with sewing. I tell you there are 4 or 5 way to do a cap sleeve and that is without even thinking about it lol. Had to stop somewhere though else these videos just get too long.
The ease simply happens because the flat shape is going into a 3 dimensional shape. You can literally walk the sleeve around the armhole by connecting the shoulder seam on the pattern and placing the sleeve on top. You will notice that the sleeve actually fits in exactly.
Great video! I've watched it a few times, and it makes perfect sense now after performing a cap sleeve on my current project. Can you not do a lining if you do the second sleeve method? I can't quite tell, are you not doing right side to right side for that one? I like the detailing of the binding. Are there any embellishments one can do to a fully inserted sleeve? What defines the "fully inserted" sleeve? Having it mated to the bodice and the bodice liner? Is there such a thing as a partially inserted sleeve? Thanks for making these videos! You cover tips and nuances that most others gloss over, and you don't waste any time in doing it :)
Thanks for sharing. Great info. Question... would it be more benificial when putting the sleeve in, to put the sleeve against the feed dogs to help easy the sleeve in? I love your technique of following the edge of the foot for putting in the bindind. This is a must try for me!
does the technique where there's a lining in the bodice works as well with a puffed sleeves.? thanks.! i would really appreciate the response.. good day.!
@@MarinaBrumpton thanks for the reply.. i managed somehow to attach the puffed sleeves but had to close the sleeves first then sew the side seams.. thanks again! Looking forward to your upcoming uploads..😍😍
hi thank you so much for the video, it's indeed a very helpful video. I have request if you could do a tutorial about how to draft a cap sleeve. I would really appreciate your help. bye

Love this cap sleeve. Do you have a pattern or tutorial how to draft this sleeve ?
Not yet!
Ottima confezione, veramente perfetta, il mio 👍👍👍👍è con te, grazie, mi sono scritta nel tuo canale,, Grazie
Wonderful
Should show us how to draft the pattern
does the technique where there's a lining in the bodice works as well with a puffed sleeves.? thanks.! i would really appreciate the response.. good day.!
unlike the cap sleeves, they are only halfway the armhole but with the puffed sleeves you sew all around..
Yes you can use it too but it won't look very nice. Having the seam allowance towards the bodice will flatten the puff of the sleeve.
@@MarinaBrumpton thanks for the reply.. i managed somehow to attach the puffed sleeves but had to close the sleeves first then sew the side seams.. thanks again! Looking forward to your upcoming uploads..😍😍

thank you ,you are very tidy
Thank you for sharing this vid 😊
Tq very much mam
That's really helpful, thanks! When you say 'normal binding' at the end when talking about the SA of the sleeve, what do you mean?
I mean binding which sits both on the in and outside. The type you can buy at a shop.
@@MarinaBrumpton thanks so much

hi thank you so much for the video, it's indeed a very helpful video. I have request if you could do a tutorial about how to draft a cap sleeve. I would really appreciate your help. bye
I don't draft them extra just use the standard sleeve and cut it shorter, then come in a bit, that is all. No magic at all.
You are good, Kudos
