Before we moved to FL, we lived in PA and had 4 blueberry bushes. They received full sun all day and produced berries for a month. They produced such quantity that we froze a lot of them for pancakes and muffins and straight out of the freezer on hot summer days. Hope more sun will bring the results you want.
Oh my dear friend thank you so much for another great video I always love coming over and watching what you put together you always do such a great job and you never fail to put an A+ video together. Always love everything you do you really inspired me to think out-of-the-box and work harder on my channel thank you so much see you in the next video
Never too many flowers! Your gardens and your table are beautiful!!! I too have pink primrose blooming all over...even in the cracks of the sidewalk out front...lol. I leave it to bloom as well. It’s too pretty to pull it up. I so enjoy all of your videos, and look forward to them! It’s like finding a treasure when I see a new one is available. Thank you so much for taking time to create and share them with us ❤️
Your garden is much further on than mine, I am struggling to get my sweet pease to climb up the support. It has been such a long, cold, windy winter we are a good month/6 weeks behind this year, I am hoping the summer makes up for it. Another lovely video. 💐💐
Jeri, I have had far better germination this year, I think, because I soaked the seed for a full 24 hours by which time some of them had actually popped and started shooting but the weather has just been so very cold everything is slow waking up. 💐💐
Hello Jeri, I love your vlog, your home, your animals, your artistry. I’m wondering if you’ve ever seen a vlog called Merveilles en Papier? She is a French artist and she makes characters like you. I bet you would like her. 🥰
I live between France and Dubai and was just saying I should send Jeri some Marriage Freres tea. Glad you DIL beat me to it. That teapot is to die for btw. Mr Peacock rules in the background.
Spray your roses with mix of water and baking soda. Gets rid of black spots. Spray ground also as the spores splash up. I spray after rain and during humid weather. Works.
1 to 2 tablespoon per gallon of water, in sprayer, it changes the pH of the leaf, slowing up the fungus Blackspot will live in the soil for over 25 years. Destroy the leaves.
@@sharonallen805 thank you!!! Last year almost everyone of our rose bushes had something weird going on w/ them - from black spot, to powdery mildew, to some very odd deformities that I have never seen in roses before (it made the leaves & blooms extra small & curly?!). I treated them like crazy all Summer w/ RoseRX & this year they are looking fabulous. But I do enjoy learning organic or home remedies to use in my garden!!!
The closing setting with Mr. Peacock perching, the shadows of twilight, and the textures of your beautifully set table were all enchanting, as well as each of your charming gardens, Jeri. 🌸🌻🌸
you are such an inspiration!!!I am trying to create many gardens also. You Are my favorite all gardening videos.please tell where you got your peacocks!?!
I was just showing my husband her peacocks. I told him I would love a couple. I already have names picked out, Romeo and Juliet. My husband's response, "Do what?"😒
Thank you so much Jeri. What a beautiful garden (it's a place of refuge like all the videos you make) and your table is a work of art and what a sight to behold. It makes me think of Lawrence Alma-Tadema's painting. All the very best of luck with your ongoing projects. Many thanks once again for your generosity and kindness in sharing your labour of love with us.
I have 2 native high bush blueberry bushes that have loads of blueberries that we let the birds enjoy. We haven't figured out how to get to the berries first!
I sure have missed your little chats. That teapot.. 😍 The entire table looked so lovely and the gardens too. This summer they will be magnificent! 💕🌹🌻⚘🌼
How wonderful that your Sweet Peas came through for you Jeri. I love all the pinks in the garden and the primroses are gorgeous. A delightful evening meal from your garden. What more could one ask for.

Everything is just beautiful. I always appreciate the gardener's work when driving past a house with beautiful gardens and flowers. How lovely of your daughter in law to send you gifts like that. So sweet!
I do so hope you will share the Peacock garden when it’s blooming, it sounds amazing. A cup of tea and a stroll through your beautiful gardens was the perfect ending of a long week ... Thank you. 💕🙏🌷

I’ve finally gotten my day of rain in Buffalo so tomorrow I’ve lots to weed in all of my many garden spaces.
Our roses always do really well, but this year they have the white powder on them. We've tried everything. Sadly, last year we lost one rose tree to a tornado, and the cold spell we had this winter... (so unusual to have snow and temps like that)... killed my favorite Don Juan rose bush. We bought that beautiful plant for under a dollar, and it bloomed even when it wasn't supposed to. I miss it so much. (I miss a lot of our stuff. The cold killed a lot).
That chicken laying in the sun on the porch above the peacock garden is living a bettter life than me 😂 ...I like how you mentioned just having a little garden even if it’s a couple pots, until one day possibly having a real one. So true! Thanks for sharing your hard work with us!
Hi Jeri! Just loving how your garden is coming along. All of the blooms are just so beautiful!!! I wanted to comment in regards to your blueberry bush. I couldn't quite tell the placement of your lone little bush placed in the corner as it looked partially shaded. Blueberries need full time sun. Blueberries also need a mate to be productive! You always need to plant a companion pant w/ them. In fact, a different variety would be all the better!!! Blueberries also love to be in acidic areas. I am guessing by the fact that you have it in your flower bed that the soil in that area is not acidic. We have our 5 bushes all planted in the same area, feed them twice a year w/ Blueberry Food (Azealia/Rhododendron food will also work), and keep a nice thick layer of sawdust around them. The sawdust just doesn't make for good mulch/weed barrier. It also helps on keeping the soil in the patch that they are planted acidic. Hope that helps! Btw...our 5 little bushes only come up about thigh high, but they are super bushy & very productive. In fact, last year we got over 8 gallons of blueberries off of them!!! If I was local to you, I'd give you a couple gallon bags! We need to make room in our freezer as June starts up blueberry season again!!!!😱😅
I'm really impressed with your Blueberry haul! I actually have 5 Blueberry Bushes in the Potager, a few different varieties. This one is only about 4 ft away from another. The area gets 6 hours of sun per day. I didn't feed them this year, so that's my fault. I heard PIne needles are helpful as well to create the acidic soil.
@@debofChrist used to love getting a bowl of frozen blueberries as a kid & pouring milk over them!😋 It was a nice treat, but I think I thought it was funny how the milk instantly froze!😆
@@JeriLandersofHopalongHollow yeah, I would think 4ft would be plenty close for little pollinators - so I don't think that is your issue. Sounds like just giving them some extra acid.🤷♀️ Btw (again!😅).... I just adore those pink & green dishes!!!💖💚 I know I have told you that before, but they really are just so charming together. Loved all the pink bouquets....especially w/ Mr. Peabody's beautiful blues backdroping them!!!
Loved your teatime table and all your gardens and beautiful pink flowers 🌸 We are on the road to our little mountain cottage in Tennessee right now...Have a beautiful day 🌸🌿
QUESTION: Where do you store spillover from you myriad collections? Do you rent storage somewhere? I can't imagine insuring so many beautiful things, let alone storing them.
Began watching your channel a few months ago, and so very pleased I found you. You're such an interesting lady. Your videos have provided me with new knowledge, distraction, relaxation, and a sense of calm after some very stressful work days. You're a beautiful soul. Thank you!
Beautiful! I love your garden and your home. FYI, blueberries need acidic soil, which we have a shortage of in Tennessee. And they need a few friends. I'm growing mine in large pots here in West Tennessee. I mulch them with pine, and feed them Azalea/Rhodadendron food. You must have at least 2 plants, variety doesn't matter, but they do better that way. 3 or 4 varieties is ideal.
Gorgeous! As always. Are you filming with a new camera? Maybe not....or I’ve not been too observant...but I just noticed in the opening scenes if the flower close-ups how soft and beautiful the video quality looked. I’m glad things are opening up for you with your shows. Is your schedule still on the website? I still plan to hop over that state line and get to meet you someday.
Your gardens are fabulous. You have given me the idea to fence mine in to protect from rabbits and deer. How do you enter in the gardens with all the wire fencing protecting them? Do you have a sprinkling system? How is Captain Alfalfa?
The wire fencing is very temporary, until the young plants or seedlings get a foothold, I need to protect the garden from my chickens who love to dig up fresh earth,
what a delightful escape to the country,Thank You for all of your hard work putting these videos together!!! At times i feel tears well up into my eyes looking at all of the beauty and simplicity. Hugs Miss Jerri
I loved this. Your home is like a storybook. How did you get the red clover growing in your garden? I love red clover. It has such a nice fragrance and looks nice in a little vase. It also has medicinal purposes and makes a good herbal tea. We don’t have much red clover in our property, and I would like to have some in a garden. I may need to learn how to gather and see my own seeds. I would buy some seed if I could get some heirloom type that has not been chemically treated. The farm supply stores have red clover seed, but it’s for sewing in pastries and is treated with chemicals. And I don’t need that much seed. Lol I love how your peacock shows up just in the right place for the videos. He is as ornamental as the gardens are.
This garden might be a little bit nuts but it is stunning. I love everything about it. I want mine to look just like yours and I hope I live to see that. What's growing up over the house with the white flowers? Is it climbing white roses? Looks magnificent.
Jeri your the best! Your gardens are absolutely beautiful! YES, I love Picket fence im about to buy some to go around a sitting area/garden. My house and gardens are Primitive/ country/ cottage and rustic so i definitely have to have some picket fence. My gardens started out small as well then i just kept adding to them and reshaping them as time goes on. I HAD to expand my front landscape this spring because the roses, and shrubs have grown so much. Had to have room for my border, this year im putting in a drift of Russian Sage, then a drift of Bishop of Oxford Dahlia (an orange/coral Dahlia). Then on the very edge is Sedum, lambs ear, Sophia Marigolds and Victoria blue. I love your brick paths! Your place looks like a little piece of heaven on earth 😍 Happy Gardening! Take care friend! 💜💛💙
Your gardens sound like my cuppa tea. I can imagine them with the Russian Sage and Orange Dahlia, great colors together! I love the Primitive country look as well.
Your gardens are already beautiful, can't wait for the white of the season. How do you water, irrigation lines, rain barrels, well water...or all of them?
I'm no expert but give them full sun a in very nicely composted soil ,Medium moisture and then just let them grow for years and years. I fertilize with COMPOST.
Do not mean to question your garden knowledge...but, do you have 2 varieties of blueberries? Once you have 2 varieties, you can add a third, fourth etc. variety (only 1 each of new variety required).
Before we moved to FL, we lived in PA and had 4 blueberry bushes. They received full sun all day and produced berries for a month. They produced such quantity that we froze a lot of them for pancakes and muffins and straight out of the freezer on hot summer days. Hope more sun will bring the results you want.
My dream come true..... maybe one day.

Question
Do you leave your hosing safely around your property so that you do not have to pull it out and drag it on a daily or weekly basis?
I just leave the hose where I am most likely to need it most, as I use it nearly every day at this time of year.
New to your garden. Why do you have the metal “ground cover”? Bunnies?
The temporary metal barricade are to keep out my free range chickens while the plants establish themselves.

Lol I love how your peacock shows up just in the right place for the videos. He is as ornamental as the gardens are.
You can get red clover seed, mine just grew there naturally... it's really more of a purple. Look online for the red clover seed
Your gardens are very beautiful!
Oh how beautiful those pink flowers.Your gardens are lovely Jeri what bliss. Miss your felted critures at tea time!
They'll be back!
This garden might be a little bit nuts but it is stunning. I love everything about it. I want mine to look just like yours and I hope I live to see that. What's growing up over the house with the white flowers? Is it climbing white roses? Looks magnificent.
Those are wild white roses I planted from a 10" plant, I found in the meadow.
I let nature water for me...and a hose. That's all!
Woohoo !!!! You did it !! Your sweet peas are beautiful! I’m excited for you dearheart!
Yay, I'm excited!
You finally got some sweet peas! Thanks so much for the peaceful garden tour and evening tea!❤
YAY, I did!
How do you care for peonies? What is the best space to plant them? How much water do they require? What is the best fertilizer to use for peonies?
I'm no expert but give them full sun a in very nicely composted soil ,Medium moisture and then just let them grow for years and years. I fertilize with COMPOST.
Do not mean to question your garden knowledge...but, do you have 2 varieties of blueberries? Once you have 2 varieties, you can add a third, fourth etc. variety (only 1 each of new variety required).
We have 5 Blueberry Bushes, 3 different varieties. All are planted in the same general area.
@@JeriLandersofHopalongHollow Well, I'm stumped. At least 6 hours of sun daily? Seems you've done everything right. Is the soil acidic?
Beautiful flowers and gardens
