Sounds amazing man. Just wondering what you have done to it to get that. Also is this something that will shorten the life expectancy of my motor or is it fine to do? Thanks
antilag shortens turbo life due to the torturous amount of heat you're essentially combusting in the exhaust. Otherwise having an aggressive idle hunt isn't that bad. Aggressive cut / activation for idle control with retarded timing at idle gives that schasty cam lope sound
This is all ecu tuning, and obviously the exhaust to be able to hear it. None of this is detrimental to engine life when used responsibly, the stock engine gave me 4 years of excellent service before it was retired for the 207. It will be finding its way into a new chassis, and live a slightly easier life in the future.
How did you get the rotational idle setup on a switch? From my knowledge on my car (04erx) I’ve gotta kick the throttle plate open a little by adjusting the stopper screw on the throttle body.
You can use the set screw, or make up some form of spacer that clips onto the throttle stop to make it more adjustable. If you’re doing carberry on an 04wrx, you need an 02/03 usdm ecu.
@@RisingFate this rotational idle uses the launch control tables at a lower rev range, it is not the timing retard that happens automatically when the throttle is kicked
it cools the motor more by running richer, switches 1 cylinder off every time it fires. the extra fuel keeps the cylinders cooler and it helps with large throttle bodies.
Dimemod / merpmod would be the go to for 32bit cars, but with the current world situation, the brains behind dimemod is a bit hard to get in touch with.
And every cop might think "well that engine sounds like there's something wrong with it"
My galant with blown head casket sounds nearly the same.
Lmao didn't know you had a yt I got the black bugeye still jus waiting for that cable n then we tuning her🙌🤟
Huh, i know this is for antilag reasons but i want that just for the sound.

@@AzureCrux Do you know whats required to get the aggressive idle or is just a remap on the ecu?

@@trbracing207 but didn't you flip a switch for yours on this video? Can you go into more detail?

CAn you explain the benefits of rotational idle and are you on a stock motor
id like to know too

What the dude said, carberry anti lag (if tuned by the right person) usually comes with a form of rotational idle.
This was on a stock engine. The antilag is very soft compared to what is ran in motorsports, I like my valves still in the head.
What wheels are those? 02 STi? Awesome dude
Yup, ver.7 STi
@@trbracing207 lol 1 year later, i own 2 sets now. love em
i need this on my 04 FXT but dont know how to tune it into my ecu...

How did you manage to do that with carberry? Got mine to do antilag and launch control but what settings have you done to get the idle?
Just using the launch control tables in a different way.
@@trbracing207 how do you do that but also maintain normal launch control. As I’ve only got the one rear demister switch?
@@wanga8136you can't have 'typical' launch control with this setup. If I'm running this, I'll launch on antilag.
Ok, I have subie with carberry 4.2, SD, LC, NLTS. Now I want this 😀 Can you explain, how you set up this? Is this Anti-Lag basically?
The rotational idle uses the launch control tables, just at a lower rpm.
what does a rotational idle do?
Whaaaat you got antilag on the defroster button? Teach me sensai
Could you send me map so I can get it to work on my carberry wrx machine plz
What is the benifit to this? Is it basically anti lag?
Where did you get your tune: anti lag setup?
All tuning on this car is done by myself
Sounds like a trabant 😂😂😂
Can you tune an n/a subie to have rotational idle?
Unlikely
Can you drive it around normally with the rotational idle?
It is on a toggle switch, so yes.
