Well, Southern Ohio Forest Rally is done and dusted, and things went even better than I hoped! My only goal for this event was to not trash the car, and maybe get a few sideways moments. First time getting to drive my Vermont SportsCar built 06STi stage rally car in anger. Surprisingly, this run is only .214 off my best run, and I think I can honestly blame the braking zone before the big slide for a lot of that time loss. The chassis feels much more rigid than the street car, and dccd quick rack = a good time. Aside from the tires I killed, it was a good shakedown overall.

A pretty clean northbound run with the crew. Found an TSX with a wang and a Challenger that were moving pretty well, but eventually backed off when the TSX got sloppy. Dash reads speed in KPH :) Enjoy the VTEC.

I bought an s2000 almost exactly a month ago as a ‘fun weekend toy’, and decidedly ‘not a race car’, because that’s what the Subaru is for. So, yeah, that aged well. Here’s my first time taking it to Pitt race for a TNiA event. Shitty coilovers, MY2000 front sway bar, MY04-05 rear sway bar, 255 RE71RS, intake and cat back. The mic is literally in the air box. Enjoy the clipping vtec lol.

~1v throttle kick, done by a screwdriver, which is why there is a lot of rev hang later on. Carberry SD ROM on 2002 WRX, stock ecu / engine, td04 Idles at -3psig on just the throttle kick, and about 0.5psig on antilag. Near instantly jumps to 4psig on the free rev at the end.

@@IcySTi I can’t say enough good things about Ryan’s work. I’ve done 14 track days, 21 autox, and about 22k miles on the engine as of now, and the only (singular) issue I’ve had with it was my own fault. It just keeps gobbling up the abuse, I did 30 minute sessions at Watkins Glen last year, just turning laps and revving 8k+, and it burned less than a quarter of a quart over 2h of WOT driving on a stock pcv system. I have zero concerns about driving to events multiple hours away, it’s been great.

@@IcySTi just do whatever Ryan suggests. I think any build should have some mild port work, especially on the exhaust side. And compression is always a good thing.
Very nice. What have you done to the oiling system to not have any pressure/temp issues?
I run a 04STi pan with an RCM baffle plate and pickup support, 12mm oil pump, and an S202 oil cooler. On a track like this with this weather (hot), I get 2 hot laps before oil temps get close to 250. One partial cooldown lap, and I’m good to start the next hot lap when I come around the front straight again.

@@wanga8136you can't have 'typical' launch control with this setup. If I'm running this, I'll launch on antilag.
On the carberry tune how do you enable rotating idle

Launch control tables are used to make a rotational idle at this rpm.

Tight course indeed. Ended up with quite a bit of first gear action. Car is significantly more violent with the throttle kick and antilag on, it’s much more of an on/off switch, especially on the slalom. It also doesn’t settle the same when off throttle, as you can see from the weird recovery I did on the last 1-2 shift

The rotational idle uses the launch control tables, just at a lower rpm.

Mine does the same thing, coolant crossover line might have a leak hitting the hot side of the turbo or it’s a hot side up pipe cracking with an exhaust leak probably

Find yourself a reasonably priced ecu from an 02-03 USDM WRX, unplug the 04 ecu, plug in your new bugeye ecu, flash it, and have fun!
And every cop might think "well that engine sounds like there's something wrong with it" My galant with blown head casket sounds nearly the same.

~280 ish if I was to guess, its peaking around 19psi and holding 14psi in the higher rev range

What kind of pressure are you seeing off throttle?
Depends on how aggressive the antilag is. Using just the IACV (no throttle kick), it will pull roughly half the vacuum as without antilag. With a throttle kick, I have been able to idle around 0-1psig.
