Still have my Z-axis, can’t see myself parting with that. I’m sure the R8 is great, but the Z-axis has worked great for me across Australia and New Zealand, and will continue to.
I always bring a RPL+ or RPLX and a new modern rod to the boat (R8's nowadays). The switch of feelings and technologies makes my brain and muscles adapt and feel the difference in every cast.
@@monspietd.4835 Oh there are lots of excellent rods around these days (like the past 20 years). It's mostly a matter of ones budget and taste (looks).. It's odd that accuracy is connected to a (pricey) rod. Put some money on good casting instruction and any rod will put the fly where you want
Just cast one, insanely smooth rod, incredible feel and accuracy in close , laser loops and high line speeds all the way out at long distances, this rod is a home run
@@cachi-7878 no I wish, just putting an opinion at there, I fish a couple different brands, Sage R8, Winston alpha + for streamers, and T&T paradigm for dries lol
Wow just wow... Can't supply Igniter 15' 10wt double hand rod and keeping us almost two years in a waiting list without any deadline and BOOM new models coming in....
As a former sage fan and user for over 30 years, I won’t ever use this brand again. The warranty conditions keep changing from what they were at purchase. In my eyes the quality has diminished, I have no confidence in them anymore. Sage One and XI3 were my fave models but I have turned to Scott rods. They feel like sages once did.
As an avid female angler and business member of the fly fishing community for the last seventeen years, your launch video for the R8 rod misses the mark with zero female representation.
*I like the way it feels **enjoyable.fishing** recommend and cast, time will tell I only used it once but it seems to work well....*

You guys need to make a travel crew that makes vlogs for sage rods. I enjoyed the Argentina segment you guys made.
Wild Fly Productions would be great outfit to partner with.
Exciting news! Looking forward to trying out the R8 at The Hatch Outfitters Spring Kickoff event here in Chattanooga, TN!
👏Can't wait to cast one! 😍

Nice message..we are perfectionist in an imperfect world...
You gotta love Sage!
It will be interesting to see what qualities stand out more if the Centric or the new R8 !!!!
Sage never won a shoot out so it's probably going to end up somewhere in the middle of the bunch
I've gotta get me one, love my 'one' and be nice to have two great sage rods in my kit, cheers from New Zealand
Salut, beau boulot 👍😃. 🤙🤘✌🧙♂️
Music credits for this video? I would like to know the names of the songs. Thanks.
I would love to do a deep dive review of your equipment. I've been fishing a better part of 20 years. Your reels are absolutely elegant.
I just bought my first Sage Fly Rod and Holy Shit!!! it was worth every penny! And it is very accurate!
Your first Sage and you think it's accurate?...
@@ibookje which one would you recommend?

Give me some recommendations, please.
@@monspietd.4835 I can recommend a Douglas Upstream Plus if you’re looking for a fast action rod. Is about the half the price of the Sage R8
Hey - where George at?!
Okay - how is this rod different than the Xs??
which is that boat?
Yessssssssssssssss
The successor to this rod will be named: Sage V12
Would not swap my two SLT 690-4 for a dozen of your latest rods !
I still fish Sage Z Axis
I’m still fishing with the ONE
Good to see Sage is still in business? I called their warranty dept to ask some questions and nobody home. Worried me, so I ended up buying a gloomis.
NRX+LP?
❤️❤️🤩🤩
When is Sage going to make components as nice as the blank? I had to go with a Scott and T &T. Maybe the next time.

Are you a Sage Ambassador? I think I’ve seen this post four times already. Hahahaha.

They're working out a deal with flight traffic control for the Igniter 15ft 10wt... That's the hold up!
I have a older DS 5 wt. Wouldn't trade it for anything.

Sage has excellent marketing skills and PR. Their rods are average at best.
I've my left leg and a kidney on ebay. If they sell, I might be able to buy one. :)
You'll also need two wading sticks then for the recommended safe three points of contact when wading.
When you straight up copy Helios 3 marketing
If it’s not greed then why sage products are so expensive that only rich people can afford?🤬😡

Lmao get a grip
Yes, they should have added in the bikini clad women fishing the flats with the new rod.
Okay, Karen.
Well im 5’6” and i dont think they represented us vertically challenged anglers. How insensitive of Sage
@Fish4Life HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAha
I like my Sage rods but I’m
not favorably impressed by the images of
your employees wearing face diapers.
All that fish porn gives them potty mouths, so they provide face diapers.
