I don't think he could defend anything. Sadly, because of all the history and racial tension we can't wear a shirt like this without needing to defend or explain it to people. If I wear a black lives matter shirt I will have to defend it and explain it the same way-- by stating the obvious, because they do. It's just sad because one shirt is obvious, and the other shirt not so much because people have been so brutalized that they feel they have to say their lives matter (too)... I think it would of been more powerful it he had a rainbow of shirts that said Asian lives, Hispanic Lives, Native American Lives, Etc to embrace all human life instead of just creating more racial tension from the media and people by adding more fuel to the black and white race relations specifically here in America. With that said, I think he accomplished what he set out to do without my critique. We need more independent thinkers and if nothing else, it goes against sheep thought as they say and envourages conversation and that's the start.
