None really. I did mess with link length, but that was not really that necessary, but since they are portals it does raise the vehicle up a tad.

I use eco power 4200mah 3s packs...long run time and small enough to clear the shock tower brace

Just used scx10 ii posts I believe....shock towers are scx10/element as well which allows for them
