I hope your boss appreciates your videos and what you’re doing for their sales… I know you sold these four balls for them… And from the guy who goes through a lot of equipment plenty more in the future I’m sure… Keep up the good work. Thank you.
I really enjoyed watching this one lol. I'm not great at bowling by any means, but this is basically how I bowl with my Hammer Black Widow Gold. I stand in the left gutter and ride the line on the right gutter, exactly how you did in this video. It's surprisingly fun XD
As someone who just bought a Hammer Black Widow 3.0, but hasn't gotten it drilled yet, this was fun to watch. My plan for adding this ball (being a novice still learning), was to get a ball that will break later and harder than my existing Hyroad pearl, Global 900 Harsh Reality, and obviously my 35+ year old Urethane spare ball. I'm working with a former PBA member who is providing lessons, and will drill my Black Widow 3.0 in a week or two, after observing my technique and possibly adjusting a few things. I'm looking forward to throwing this ball, but want to get it drilled just right, so I don't mind waiting a few more days. The lessons are also unlocking the full potential of my Harsh Reality and Hyroad balls as well.
The “what do you guys think?" Always gives me Dora the Explorer meme vibes and I am not mad about it. Love the videos and all the info you give us Nick.
You know, Nick, for that straight challenge/least hook challenge, this is where that helicopter/UFO delivery comes in. Those guys can throw it straight, take the pattern out of play, hook the least/cover the least amount of boards, and let the deflection off the headpin do the rest of the work.
@@jeffs7773 I kid you not. One such bowler beat Marshall Kent in Hong Kong to win the QubicaAMF World Cup. Kent couldn't keep his ball on the lane after lofting the gutter; the helo spinner threw it straight and hard down 4th arrow and let deflection do the job. Kent tried to fight through the oil pattern and lost; the spinner took the pattern out of play and won.
I just had a personal best with this ball last night in Sunday Funday league with a 262. I cannot hook the lanes but I just stand right then come up the back of the ball and let this ball rip. This ball is my favorite ball I've thrown in sometime! Even over my BW 2.0 Hybrid.
Hey man! Just wanted to give a little confirmation here. I bought the BW 3.0 that you recommended me and for the first three weeks it was killing me. Couldn’t do anything right and then couldn’t grip it well. Come to find out the finger grip was too tight! After taking it out and replacing it this ball is a freaking beast! 240 and 220 after replacing the insert! Thanks for your help! Just a quick question tho. I was looking for another one and was curious on your thoughts on the phase 2? Watched a few people throw it and I think I like the way it reacted in heavy oil! Keep up the videos! Really enjoy them!
Good day Sir. Would like to ask what other balls compliment this to form a 4 ball arsenal excluding spare ball. Thanks!! Would a Scorpion low flare be a good secondary?
I would say 2 options in Hammer. If you’re speed dominant, Widow 3.0, Envy Tour, Scorpion Low Flare, Ocean Vibe. If you’re more rev dominant, Widow 3.0, Hazmat, NU Blue, RAW Pearl. If you’re advanced and bowl tournaments on more challenging patterns, look into adding a Purple Hammer Urethane as well.
This was a fun video, so much in fact you should turn it into a series "Coast to Coast" and since you started with 3.0 every ball here on out gets tested.
With my game, if I threw a ball at that steep angle, I would get a strike on the next lane over to the right and thus cover more boards than you did. 😁
Do you think you would get even remotely the same hook from a 12lbs 3.0? Ive been looking for a new ball, and kinda sold myself on moving up to 14. Been throwing a 12 for 20+ years, 180avg. I throw my 12lb at about 16mph, 400 rev.
I had my 900 global bank roll split 💯 360 degrees after sitting for a few years so I need a new ball.. not exactly sure why that happened, but what's done is done. I've never had my rev rate checked but I have psoriatic arthritis and lymphodemia in my left leg which basically means I limp all the time. I we t to a 14lb ball for that reason and now I'm worse. I have a good release and have carried over a 200 average when I was bowling more. I'm telling u this because I'm not a hack, just have physical limitations and REALLY want t9 start bowling again. I need a new ball and I've watched so many of your videos (that are awesome btw) and I'm thinking widow 2.0 hybrid. Just want your take if u can. I know its impossible with not knowing my revs and speed but I always liked to cover a lot of boards even throwing slower. Really appreciate what u do!
@@timriecken5453Hang in there Tim! I'm about to turn 68 in June and hadn't bowled in a league for over 35 years due to back injuries, and two surgeries, but after a minor stroke, I decided I needed to get more exercise, and chose bowling as a fun way to be more active. After cautiously bowling a few games to see if my back could take it, I joined a league and bought a new ball and shoes. I was having so much fun, I joined two more leagues, bought a 2nd new ball and a rolling tote to carry all three. I've improved my average from 155 to 187, and I'm bowling at least one 200+ game every league night now. Three league nights a week is a little tiring for me, so I'm dropping back down to two, but will substitute for the third league when needed. Since I had only bowled in a league two years before I had to stop due to the back problems, I still consider myself a novice who is just learning, and have started to get lessons from a former PBA member in my local area. Maybe a coach could help you with your physical limitations?

That tells you storm is trash!!! Lol
I think you just sold a whole crap load of balls with this one nick!
BrunsNick should be selling BrunsWick. I don't even bowl, and I even want to buy this Hammer BlackWidow 3.0!

Way more fun than shooting splits

Show off lol. Must say the pin reaction on those shots was perfect. They struck so nicely.

I hope you’re just kidding. The last Chinese guy I watched throwing that way couldn’t hit the same spot twice to save his life

fun watching you have fun, lol
You can do it!!!
That was freaking awesome
Dead nuts flush..😳🤣🤣💀
This is a Top 10 BrunsNick video for sure - loved the creativity to eke out 3 more boards by Brooklyn-ing. You sure you can’t hit 60 though? 🤔🤣🤪
I ran out of oil and energy trying a few more shots after. I just could not get it to the gutter lol
That was honestly awesome to watch, maybe it’s time to make the change cause i saw no pesky 8 pin left!🤣
love my black widow and my nu blue both can go basically coast to coast
This is how Nick spends his time during lunch breaks 😂... yes I'm jealous 😢
Sometimes I eat too. 😆
nice
Really enjoyed this trick shot. I couldnt get a 3.0, ended up with a widow 2.0 and a web pearl.
Dude is a magician 😂
🪄 tada!
Nice!! 💪🏻😎🎳
Your ball crossed about 3 arrows at the arrows!!! 🤣
Firat of all congratulations, that was incredible!! Secondly do you throw with a Detroit thumb? It seems yiur thumb is offset from the middle of the T
Nope, Sarge Easter grip. A few videos on my channel about it. 👍🏻
You can really bend the 3.0. Better have some speed to thrwo this thing.

Glad you figured out your grip issue!
Can’t help you on competitor products though.
Yeah man no worries! Is there something comparable you have or just stick with the widow for now?
Ebonite GB2 is my pick for most comparable to what you’re after.
My man!!! Keep up the great work!!!
I think I may have found my new benchmark ball in the Black Widow 3.0
What's the difference between the 3.0 and the Extreme Envy?
I would like a opinion on this too
For me, Widow 3.0 has more of a sweeping continuous motion and the Extreme Envy is much more abrupt off the spot and then rolly.
I like this guy.

What, no 8 pin? No 8 pins in the original review for the 3.0 either. Better hold on tight to that ball. 🙂
Black Widows are like a force field against those evil things.

Dynamite idea!
I just bought one (haven’t received it yet) but my goal is to hopefully get better at moving left and play different angles
I have this ball and the hook is crazy. Since I bought this ball, this has been my bowling style lol
Loved the video Nick!! Is the 3.0 the real deal??
Sure seems to be! And already a PBA Major on its resumé!

Yes absolutely. The cover is the same and the lightweight cores have plenty of track flare potential. 👍🏻
No specto data but this was pretty close:

Anyone else ever trip out the 7 with the 9? 😂
Is this a good bal to add to my bowling arsenal??
I have the
Sen soul
Game breaker 2
Prism hybrid
Zen asura
Black widow 2.0 hybrid
Purple hammer
It would likely fit up top as the strongest ball in your bag when there is the heaviest oil, could probably replace the Zen up top.
@@brunsnick ok tnx that is what i wanted 👍
What is the difference between the Black widow 3.0
The hars Realty and the magic gem??
Not too familiar with competitor products, sorry.
@@brunsnick ok tnx for helping 👍

just bought this ball hoping i can strike more
How dry are these lanes? What pattern is this? Is this typical house shot that's dry?
It’s the fresh typical house shot I always put down. Crown Jewel 43’
The most hook possible would probably be an aggressive drilling on a katana assault with some 300 on the surface lol
How would you compare this to the track archetype?
Archetype quicker response hook stop. Black Widow more continuous sweeping motion.
@@brunsnick appreciate it!
Do you remember what Specto said your entry angle was on those shots? Just curious...
Wasn’t super crazy. Mostly 5° range some up to 6.5°
COOL! Now try it with a plastic ball!!!
I threw the 3.0 for the first time today. I am very speed dominant. I couldn't get this thing to hook for the life of me. I think it's a me problem.
Is it a mistake to put some surface on my black widow 2.0 hybrid?
Not at all!
This is the way I bowl, except I’m left handed. My hook is very similar to this here.
that's why i try to throw straighter
Can u please compare this to mindset atlas and other heavy oil monsters in your videos ? If not pls reply with d differences.
Both are in the same class of ball performance, but Black Widow 3.0 is the only one with HK22 paired with the iconic Gas Mask Core.
@@brunsnick so widow 3.0 it is! ;)
How do you even throw a beast like that dead straight?
With extreme skill 😆
What was your ball speed
Around 16 mph launch speed for the coast to coast shots.
I finally bowled a 200 on this ball after returning to bowling 20 years later
No 8 pin!
I'm very disappointed you didn't register the highest numbers while leaving a stone 8 pin ....
Me too. The ball has a force field I think.
Legit don't know why u don't go for that angle!
