    Can I encourage you to consider building more stealth vans? 66% of new homes are in HOA's and 30% of all homes are. Most HOA's do not allow RV's, which makes owning an RV more pricey because you now have to consider the cost of storage. Just a thought.

      I wouldn't mind seeing that myself, however the question is always : what kind of demand exists for that?

    • @traveldreamer4616
      @traveldreamer4616 6 місяців тому +3

      Exactly! It also makes one more invisible when urban camping. I like when all of the inlets for water, etc are covered, giving it a smooth stealth look while also removing the opportunity for tampering.

    Another great & generally informative video, Hank. Nick is clearly the 'Real Deal' (& Coachmen is clearly ...THE... 'Real Leader' in the 'B segment' -- only #3 or #4 likely because of focus on fewer quality build units, so see why Buffett/BH chose to invest in them for RVs). We're interested in either a Beyond or Galleria -- Beyond only if future version has a macerator (instead of 'stinky slinky' -- Boss's preference, right Lola) 😅 ... Galleria 170 Std (instead of 170 Ext -- Boss, again, won't drive the longer chassis -- 'happy wife ... happy LIFE') 😊 ... & ...IF... Coachmen ever moves to 170 Std as an entry-level Galleria (2 seats) along with 170 Ext (4 seats) as their NEW 'Top of the Line' they'll surely gain more market share to propel them into #1 (or #2) legit 'Class B Market Leader'! 💯

    We love our Beyond. When we trade up for a new Beyond, we’re hoping for a macerator. It’s getting harder and harder to access the dump pull handles under the chassis. Also a fixed almost queen size platform, and at least 1200 ah. The outside shower isn’t something we use. Thank you Hank and Lola for bringing this content to us!

    I may be mistaken, but it seems like comparible vans in Europe cost out considerably lower. Are their material/product cost less than ours? If not, what is the reason for the cost differences?

    • @strangerpalooza
      @strangerpalooza  6 місяців тому +3

      that's good question to run down...we would have to consider the higher taxes, higher cost of petrol, lower demand etc (I'll work on getting some definitive answers)

      Here are a few reasons I gathered from UA-cam: No Lithium, No A/C, minimal outlets, tiny fridge, no microwave. However, floorplans are innovative.

      It seems American motorhomes have gone up in price more than the increased cost of the chassis. I’m not buying that excuse at all.

      Yes. I would add to press this question comparing to a class C and A. I saw a class A the other day loaded new for less than a new Revel. How is that possible? It’s a bigger chassis and had slides and fireplace, full stove, full couch, big screen TV and full fridge?

    Agree on the stealth van! Also, why are so many rv dealers so unprofessional? Lastly, quality control is not good as a whole in the industry but Coschmen is a step above normal.

    Hank there’s not much info on towing with class b’s. I have a small flats fishing boat weighs around 1500lbs. Could you cover this topic?

    Our 2023 Nova 20D is the BEST quality RV out there. Please do something about the bathroom sink because it is not functional as is, it’s just a holder for the shower head. Also, love the paper towel holder but could you move to the back of the under cabinet. When you try to use the kitchen sink as a bathroom sink you hit your head on the paper towel holder. That said we LOVE our van. God Bless!

    Finally had a chance to watch this (its been a busy month). I appreciate Nick's openness and honesty. We were caught up in the recalls, but so happy to finally have our '24 Beyond. These videos always make me worry that I'll want some new feature or innovation, but so far not yet. The '24 upgrades are great. My only complaint - they moved the Li3 battery in the 22C and relocated the water pump, so there's some loss of storage under there.
    It would be interesting to see Coachmen add a rear ladder and storage locker to the back of the Beyond like so many of us have done (or contemplated).
    Thanks Hank and Lola for another fantastic video. Maybe one of these days our paths will cross in real life.

    Hank and Nick, Five Hard Questions is outstanding. I know we appreciate Nick’s honesty.
    As for the question on Innovation, I think it can be broad. Even Nick said, “What are we talking about - electrical, etc.”
    It would be okay for more specific follow-up questions. “Okay Nick, let’s look at floorplans. Coachmen offers rear sofa-bed and two twin-bed/couches. Have you considered other floorplans like a rear raised-bed with garage underneath?”
    “Well Hank, in fact, we are coming out with that in our Galleria 24A.”
    “What about a small bench-seat dinette behind the driver’s chair? Where would you sit, if not in the driver or passenger seat?”
    Hank, I’ve watched numerous RV videos (Class B & B+), and I can’t think of a more informative format. Keep it up. Thanks,

    We are likely 5 years out from our first but based on all the ‘research’ aka watching videos like this and going to shows our class B will be a Coachman and it’s not even close. Videos are great but all you have to do is go in one and touch it to know Coachman is on another level. 2030 wishlist: dry/wet RB, Lavio and no black tank, RB with a large fridge, Starlink, Beyond Poptop (with Truma AC - Nick can figure it out ;) WeI looking forward to going FL to meet the ‘other Nick’ in ~5 years. Thanks guys for the informative and entertaining vids. PS: Would love another factory walkthrough. That’s what really lays out the Coachman difference.

    Great interview with Nick as always! We are coming from a Tiffin Wayfarer and planning to get a Coachman as soon as it sells (this month fingers crossed) - want a Beyond, but might have to get galleria for the option of front dining (T and Q) as we need a place to strap in the dogs that isn't way in the back- We have a dog with separation anxiety and needs to be close to us, and don't want her untethered in moving vehicle! Also helping make coaches more dog friendly overall- maybe a gate to keep them in the back when doors opened... options like that. Thanks!

  • @ruh-roh9942

    We like the Beyond RB but would like a smaller wardrobe with a bigger shower. Or no wardrobe at all and a real shower. We normally travel with very few clothes that need hanging. And replace the shower curtain with a self-wicking shower ‘door’. Or make a ‘transforming’ space and combine the functionality of the closet and shower. The buyer could use that space as a closet or shower depending on what they prefer.
    Dare to be different than all the other rear bath vans.

    I don’t think when people ask about innovation they’re talking about new cabinetry. I think it’s more along the lines of something like the Hymer Venture S, and what they did with the steps. That’s innovation.
