- The stars and creator of The Sandman join Dave Morales in this Backstage look at the new series on Netflix.
Featured in the interview are Tom Sturridge ("Morpheus" / "Dream"), Vivienne Acheampong ("Lucienne"), Kirby Howell-Baptiste ("Death"), Mason Alexander Park ("Desire"), Boyd Holbrook ("The Corinthian"), Vanesu Samunyai ("Rose Walker"), creator Neil Gaiman, and writer/producer Allan Heinberg.
Synopsis: There is another world that waits for all of us when we close our eyes and sleep - a place called the Dreaming, where The Sandman, Master of Dreams (Tom Sturridge), gives shape to all of our deepest fears and fantasies. But when Dream is unexpectedly captured and held prisoner for a century, his absence sets off a series of events that will change both the dreaming and waking worlds forever. To restore order, Dream must journey across different worlds and timelines to mend the mistakes he’s made during his vast existence, revisiting old friends and foes, and meeting new entities - both cosmic and human - along the way.
Based on the beloved award-winning DC comic series written by Neil Gaiman, THE SANDMAN is a rich, character-driven blend of myth and dark fantasy woven together over the course of ten epic chapters following Dream’s many adventures.

One of my favourite things in interviews is watching the faces actors pull when their waiting for the compliment to end so they can relax their shoulders 😂
I keep seeing passion in this cast and my hype level is about to go off the roof... I dont care how good or bad is the show, I am gonna watch it all just for the effort they put into it! They deserve it at the very least!!!

It may not be as good as the graphic novel but it is going to be one of the best netflix shows.

Fun fact: Tom Sturridge & Robert Pattinson have been best friends since they were children. They went to school together in London. Rob was also at The Sandman premiere after-party recently.

Wow there's a world of distance between interviews with this cast and the Rings of Power cast nattering about representation ugh.
Boyd Holbrook is gorgeous as fackkkkk as Corinthian! The Clean shaven face and the character here suit him too well. But with beard 🧔 still got me on my knees anyway! Tom Sturridge is so lively and animated ,unlike Dream lol.
