I realized the enormous potential of this concept when I pulled a 4x4 sheet of plastic pallet liner and felt like I was going to be struck by lightning!

Can I ask what you meant by saying you felt that you would be struck by lightning?

Yes , it's all about scale. We forget that photosynthesis is only around .5% efficient, yet firewood powered human civilization for a very long time . Grass too since we used horses for transport and work .

Capillary action might be an interesting topic. It cleanly seems to be a way of overcoming gravity. And I have said this before.... look into harmonics.

One of the people who watch the goings on with SpaceX spotted those little antennae that jets use to dissipate charge that builds up on surfaces in supersonic winds, on the trailing edges of the Starship's fins. It would be interesting to see whether a system, or material, could be developed that would generate charge in the same manner but at lower wind-speeds.

I had an idea for a new type of "sloar panel" what if you filled a solar evacuated tube with sand run a copper pipe into the tube then attach a thermoelectric generator to the top. No idea if it would work, but i figured this would be the best channel to share it, too. Love the channel !

Sand is an insulator. The many tiny airspaces insulate making it inefficient for heat generation

@rudynunez6415 I am not trying to generate heat I am trying to store it :)

Build a WINDhurst generator! Haha, high voltage, charge a capacitor bank!,with a bank of wilmhurst . Build a tower with the wilmhurst on their side under the tower. With a shaft from a vertical axis turbine. Build a cap bank to clamp the voltage to something useful, using DC converter to charge a battery bank from it. Maybe a spark gap transformer to drop the voltage to charge be batteries , a 96v 200f cap bank to charge 24-48v batteries. A stavk of 36" wilmhurst about 12' tall it may get close to a couple amps at 96v, just as well toss some magnets on a disc with coils to take advantage of fast wind, and the wilmhurs for slow wind. If it can be built cheap it may be worth building??....

Living on the top of a hill in Cornwall we get plenty of rain and wind even the Sun showes up occasionally, how about a Dutch style windmill with Solar panels as the sails and a shroud to catch the rain drops flung off the sails?

any form of rubbing together will cause wear and therefore failures , so these may be limited depending on the friction coefficient.
Interesting to look further into and what can be done.

Living in Cornwall but in a rather heavily populated zone we could use wind but only if it isn't noisy, the flapping flag style might work because as the wind blows loudly it should mask the generators. I am going to be working on a wind wall railing using 3d printable HAWT's that you showed us not long ago for the garden path and would love to have a Cornish flag covering a flappy generation device on a flag pole at the end of the garden right next to the public footpath. Combining those two with some water collectors (either condensation from the air or just filtered) for drinking water would reduce our living costs quite dramatically I think.

Query: you have had a goal of establishing a system that can scavenge electricity from low wind speeds in urban areas. If you installed a system like that on the wall of a building what would the profile be and could you stretch it along the entire side of the building as multiple segment units?
I feel that would help you toward your goal of building mounted wind energy scavengers for cities.

I was troubleshooting a dwelling unit with coworkers. I had a plastic film stuck to my foot walking across carpet, if i touch a coworker a large static shock would be delivered. Crazy funny and things got out of control quick. 😂

I think that some semi rigid teng shingles could both collect electricity from the rain and wind. Could be fairly easily scalable, and could still make it possible to use under a rooftop solar array (although being somewhat limited physically). It would be even better if these were made using recycled plastics.

Interesting video Robert. good information that is a fact. Nice work fella. 😀😀😀
Quick question for you Sir, Would putting in an extension wire mesh chimney in a kerosene heater upper part increase the efficiency of the unit ?? Like the Kerosun Double Clean kerosine heater. Thanks again and peace. vf

How could you stack/link the raindrop generator onto a sheet of ply for mounting on a shed for charging battery?

  • @overunityinventor

Tom bearden once said in an interview that if you connect an AC source to a step up transformer and connect capacitors in series to both ends of secondary of that step up transformer, and then connect the other ends of both the capacitors to another step up transformer and connect secondary of this 2nd step up transformer to loads in parallel.
Now when you add load to secondary of 2nd transformer the first transformer will not draw more current from AC source. The load runs from displacement current.
Can u try doing it please and share with your audience the results of this experiment?
    Thanks Robert!

Hey Rob, can you start a show or two, whereby you show how all of the small amounts of electricity that can be produced, may be SAVED, in batteries, capacitors, etc. Designing a capacitor charging bank for what you need, might be useful, considering the HUNDREDS of ways to PRODUCE the electric.

He does have series and one or two ideas, can be used together.
For this idea a video on voltage and amps, or circuit patterns for/that change volts to amps with little loss as in transformer standard format.
Imverting volts to Amps with little loss.

I'd like to see a Triboelectric setup with a static electric generator hooked up to a Tesla Wall (large battery), to see if ths battery can be kept filled with electric power by small generators.

    • @johnschneider931
      @johnschneider931 9 місяців тому +1

Probably not, internal resistance of the Tesla wall battery, the capacitors needed to overcome that voltage would be costly,

I think it's okay today to say ,, rubbing,, . We once used to say ,,friction,, as a verb . Rubbing translates to frontage in French , and I'll just let it go because I'm on the wrong channel.

Windmill can roll the rubber around ,making charge, Lyden jar or Capacitor 😮storage.
    Great channel, Inspired.
