Lyman should be the coolest villain of TV history imo. He's calm but harsh, cold blooded, ultimately ruthless and of course a serious rascal with his stylish feather in his hair. He's definately a cool portraid to me
One of the best episodes from Season Three. I recorded this off LWT in 1986 and it looked exactly the same. The Rank colour film was pretty washed out as new although it's annoying Network didn't clean it up as they did The Professionals - certainly my 35 year old Hi-fi VHS looks cleaner without all the scratches and jumps . Nick Brimble was underrated at this time. He was Keelhaul in John Silver's Return to Treasure Island in the same year and in Robin Of Sherwood's Swords of Wayland in 1985 before he hit the big time with Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves in 1991. His nonchalant Bristolian don't give a monkeys attitude is what makes Lyman such a good character. Alan 'Guitar' Parker had a field day with these episodes playing all the various motifs : rock guitar , western 12 string etc etc. As usual Barry Morgan overuses the Simmons kit and the Linndrum but that is D & M's signature sound.
