⁴ᴷ⁶⁰ New Prototype R211Ts Curve Testing!

Here we see the first cars of the special R211T open-gangway train being tested at East NY Yard. These cars pilot an open, flexible passageway between cars in an effort to increase capacity, improve safety, and decrease asymmetrical car loading. These tests are intended to ensure that the wheelsets and open gangways are able to navigate the tightest simple and reverse curves. Enjoy this technical look at a very interesting test!
