I learned to break up the bones with my axe to save my knife early on. The bone and stone knife just break way to fast when hitting the bones. And than it will break when I need it to kill some animal that is attacking me while I am skinning another. Also you have a second stone knife in position 6...
Yea, that's my back-up knife, just in case :)
@@zaistarsgamingandfun That is kinda funny, I do the same thing with my knife every time I upgrade. I keep the lower tier knife in slot 5 with my main knife in slot 2. I use a Razer Naga mouse so it is super easy to just slide from 2 - 5 when it breaks in an emergency. I usually stop when I get to Steel.

I think the trees grow back but you need to cut the stumps out might be worth testing in two spots leave stumps in one and clear cut another, side note your mods are in the ship.
If you go back to your pod look in its cargo bay and your find your modules in there for your suit
you can repair workshop items with workshop repair kits at a repair bench you build on planet.
Build around the waterfall, bridge the gap and incorporate water wheels below the house.

When you get to building with stone. It would be cool to build a high rise building. Say about 6 floors.

I would love to join you on this one. Modules should be in your drop ship. Yea you never emptied the drop ship contents on arrival, your backpack and modules should still be in there.

I'm pretty sure the canteen sterilizes the water if you fill from lake or stream
It does, it’s just the initial filling that can cause the parasite!
I tried the desert start and thought it was hard. But I think the snow start would be the hardest because I don't know that there is any fiber in the snow zone. So not sure how you would craft a lot of things.
I don’t remember seeing a drop zone in the snow. You’re right they’re starting their would be crazy.
Ive starter a styx open world, hardest setting, level 0 char and solo...
Its was very very very hard....had to go mine a shelter in a rock and had to fight 3 spawn of bear around me...all nights long
