- We are very close to finding another CS:GO major winner at the #PGLMajor but what is the all time best major winning rosters of all time? We sat down with Fallen from Team Liquid, Niko from G2 Esports, S1mple from NAVI, Mantuu from OG Esports, Tabsen from BIG & Kyojin from Team Vitality

Yeah his is the only one that looks realistic, if you factor in “eras” his actually accounts for effectively each major era we have had and then ranks the rest essentially more or less where you would expect.

@Aoi Shi Device left first, thus breaking the greatest line up of all time and was untouched in the Major playoffs. Furthermore denying us the fans the chance to see them go toe to toe with NaVi in the Major playoffs.
As for the Vitality move it doesn't make sense to replace XQTZZZ / Shox (I could be wrong).

Mantuu really messed up with LG and SK rosters. He didn't realize they were the same team and the moment he mencionet with coldzera's parents when talking about SK happened while they where LG instead

Nobody mentions that most of them didnt even remember LG 2016??? It was MLG Columbus and it was one of the best majors of all time, with famous coldzera play and the comeback against liquid. And finally to win Navi at the final who were pretty strong at the time with Zeus. I think it was their 2nd final in a major

Gambit 2017 i put on S , not because i am a fan or smthg, its because zeus was kicked out of navi and it turned into a cinderella story where they came from zero to hero by slapping everything
Yeah, that was such a miracle run it is insane. Zeus said he ain't going home without a major, and the mad lad did it. The major itself their run was also incredible, the Dosia nade was a cherry on top.
And don't forget the iconic wager between Zeus and Olof ('Olofmeister, I love you!') ;)

If immortals won i think people would never even think about gambit like its now with immortals. (im not fan of immortals or gambit, nor im brazilian or russian)

Fallen definitely loves the game and has for years.
SK/LG and Fnatic were definitely top dogs at the time, he is right in saying that nobody was even close to them, it's true.
nobody was even close? i mean i only started watching cs in 2017...but from what ive heard astralis has to be the best ever teama. they won 4 majors in very dominant fashion...changed the game. nobody in their peak came close to them!

You know, you answered the question better than the players did in the video. They seemed to be ranking the majors themselves, rather than the rosters like the video title says. So yea, I agree to an extent that that roster is possibly the greatest, but I don’t think the players in the video understood or followed the rules

The disrespect Fnatic 2015 and Astralis 2018 got is insane to me, both have to be S tier. NIP 2014 is A, but if we were talking NIP 2013 S+ they basically revolutionized the game so it became modern and still to this day some aspects of 2013 NIP are still shown to this day (coming from an Fnatic fan)
I just don't think the level of competition back in those days justifies putting NIP higher than a C. Fnatic maybe a different case because that's right when CSGO was really beginning to become popular and orgs were entering the scene.

@@TTVShm0l I think your point is valid when it comes to NiPs era (Even though that was impressive as well) but CS:GO in 2013-2016 was very much alive and competitive. Most players who are at the top today was playing there and then as well and Fnatic dominated them.

Fallen's tier list has to be the most correct one
Almost all of these guys disrespected 2015 fnatic. They had so much competition and still were dominant. VP, NiP, Envy, Danish team whatever they were named at the time, NaVi and more.
My favorite roster ever is Olof, Krimz, JW, Flusha and pronax.
Mine's Fallen, Coldzera, Fer, Taco and Fnx. For those who know the story of what they did to get the funds to participate in the major, it makes any Brazilian get emocional
fallen's list is just way better than everyone elses.
personally I'd adjust to
S - astralis 2018, fnatic 2015, SK/LG 2016 - Double majors for all in the same year, insane teams with best eras
A - VP 2014, NiP 2014, C9 2018 - the most magical major wins
B - Envy 2015, astralis 2017 - strong teams but fnatic had fallen off at the end of 2015 and astralis also took it when everyone was struggling and VP should have had it with that big lead
C - Gambit 2017, LDLC 2014
D - fnatic 2013
NaVi's 2021 major will probably be remembered as A tier or possibly S for some since they went undefeated.

I feel like Mantuu didn't understand the ranking criteria. He keeps mentioning the quality of the final and how memorable it was, but that's not the point. Sure, the Boston final was probably the best Major final we've ever had, but you have to be on some pretty strong bath salts to suggest that particular Cloud 9 roster (or any Cloud 9 roster for that matter) was stronger than the likes of Astralis 2018, Fnatic 2015 and SK 2016. Cloud 9 were arguably not even the best team at that tournament!

LG and SK in 2016 were the exact same squad, just zews the coach left, they should be the same tier, or maybe SK one above, because they improved a bit in the second season of 2016. But I don't understand the players putting these squad(s) so apart each other.

LG wasn't as dominant as SK so I think it's fair enough to have SK one tier above.

How did SK/LG managed to get lower than s tier, their roster with fnx in 2016 won 2 majors and a bunch of other tier 1 tounments, then they disbanded and that roster with fnx has a 100% win rate in majors. They set an era same for astralis 2018, they were unstopable. The 2 best rosters in cs history alongside fnatic 2015 probably and yet these guys didn't even knew who played for them.

How are people giving astralis with magisk less than S? Commentators would be congratulating teams for hitting 10 rounds on a map, they would lose their mind in shock if it even went to 3 maps because of how rare it was.

If you don't put Fnatic 2015, SK 2016 and Astralis 2018 in the S tier you're completely out of your mind. The three most dominant rosters in CSGO's history. The rest may be debatable, but these three are out of question. Fallen's rating is by far the best one btw, I'd only think about LG in the A tier since they were underdogs going into the playoffs in 2016 but the multiple comebacks against Liquid and the dominance over a clear favourite Na'Vi in the finals may be a strong argument for them getting up into A.
I think BLAST should next time say that every tier should have at least one team, would spread out their rankings a little bit
Niko has two regrets till this day number one is losing to c9 on inferno and number two is that lovely wiff onto S1mple from heaven on nuke.
would love to see astralis 2018 vs navi bo5... probably astralis would won(I give 60%) if they had time to prepare. But at least we gonna seen how Gambit gonna overrun navi in near future(2-3years imo).
sadly cs go doesnt play all star games as well (they had all stars vs asian players if im not mistaken and get right world team vs somebody)

Some of these players they just rate the "major final match" rather than the team though.
I think Gambit in B is a fair rating, and they would've been A if Zeus hadn't gone with Kane. There was potential there for a strong top 5 roster, but Zeus was the final piece of the puzzle which took them from an impressive top 8 team to a genuine contender for major champions. Without him the team stagnated, and we all know what happened from there.
All that matters to me is I got to see my team win a major in person, no matter what happened after that, that can never be taken away from me :D
