Maybe they are starting to reuse those places because of the continuing growing tension with Russia? Anyway really nice video and above all very interesting. Thank you. ♥️

I've been at many bunker sites in Germany. Many were sealed. When we were at gunnery one time during some down time on the range, we went to explore a large bunker. Deep inside this cold dark bunker we heard weird noises. We ran and found our way out followed by a big wild bore and her piglets.

My grandfather was a military engineer, studied in Leningrad (Saint Petersburg), he worked on this base and many military project around the country, almost everything was supplied by the soviets including those huge doors, shipped from Odessa, the tunnel was used for fast attack boats with torpedos, they could attack expend the torpedoes enter on one end, rearm and refuel and get out from the other end
It's a shame we broke relationships with USSR

@@georgeskanderbeg3242 we broke relationships with USSR because USSR moved closer to yugoslavia after Stalin's death.....however they were not reliable partners and then they invaded eastern europe they didn't liberate it without forgetting that Albania liberated itself with its own forces in ww2 it was not liberated either by the allies or by the red army...

Bob, you are a mad man. Other Urbex's do houses, castles the good old insane asylum. But you go to bunkers and military bases with armed soldiers patrolling. You are the Chuck Norris of Urbex's. Love it. Take care brother.
Thanks a lot 😊 have you seen some other episodes as well? I visit all kind of places but often the more dangerous and unknown places.
@@ExploringtheUnbeatenPath
Bob, have been watching your channel for years. Love what you do. Take care brother.
Thanks bro! Cool stuff coming up. Returning from Colorado USA atm. Gold mines, underground factories and a missile silo
@@ExploringtheUnbeatenPath
Sounds awesome Bob. Looking forward to it brother.
@@ExploringtheUnbeatenPath my question may sound silly, how did you know or managed to find the exact location of all those bunker in this world ?
That bad mountain road that after a while stopped being a road is the way to the most important bunker of Albania. It was Enver Hoxha's bunker where you could lead the whole war. You can't see the entrance from the sky, and you couldn't even bomb it as the angle of it wouldn't allow it as no plane has any space to fly straight to it. It was an eye opener even for us Albanians...😮( it was top secret).
Amazing adventure again. It’s incredible how much these countries spent in the past on places like this, only to leave them abandoned just a decade or 2 later.
Nothing beside remains :) Thanks for checking out! Most military equipment is already outdated when being finished like submarines and war ships. (And most cold war era ships never fired a shot)
Huge Kudos to the young lady for being right in the thick of it until the end. She should have her own channel, bet she'd be one fearless adventurer. Great video as always Bob...keep um' coming M8.
I went to Hungarty with her and she is fearless indeed ! Episodes coming up soon :) Thanks for checking out :)
Fantastic example for how the circumstances of an explore can be as thrilling as the object itself. After much bad luck, this bunker delivered especially on the creepiness due to its dilapidated condition and architecture - amazing! And I tip my hat to Elena for having the same size proverbial titanium balls as Bob! I dont think I would have crossed the water, especially not after parts came down... 😮
Very, very cool! Thank you for video. Most of us around the world would never see this. It is decaying rapidly and looks to have no one trying to preserve it. Places like this should be restored and turned into public museums.
I am Albanian and i can tell u that there are nuclear bunkers turned into museums search 'Bunkart Albania' also we have turned them into hotels aribnb, coffe shops, tattoo shops etc. But is impossible for the state to preseve all of them there are 750.000 bunkers all over the country the bigest one in Kukes wich can fit 30.000 people has hospitals, schools, police station everything inside for the full city and is being restored with the help of EU to turn it into a musem.
But our goverment would need at least 25% of the GDP to mainten all of them so its not worth it. They are cool now but their past is really dark also thousands of people died building them. But i hope u would visit Albania one day though amd see first hand ;)
The first location is Kuçova air base, soon this will be part of NATO.
The other one is near Porto Palermo marine base, this was build after 70s, my dad remember this construction which lasted more then 10 years, multiple people died there working. He says there are multiple floors inside this bunker.
That submarine Base was EPIC ... Big Thanks from Australia for letting me see this insane awesome place ..
I feel that unraveling the places and the Soviet culture, brings an air of mystery and suspense, because it was a world unknown to Westerners, but that still brings fascination and admiration!
@simulationsrealconflicts1586...Soviet culture?..its Albania lool not the soviet union which by the way no longer exists
Theater in the World that is completely run by the black nobility 📴
Imagine how much money was spent to build the Sub facility.
Whilst people starved 😢
@@bonniedrasco8166 Yep.....that's they way of the Communist East......still is in North Korea........only 1 communist country really works and that's Vietnam......but their economy is not based on Communism but rather Capitalism.

Bob hi from Canada. The scale and construction techniques of this installation are amazing for the time period. You do a great job of capturing the size of it all very challenging to do given the lack of natural light. Even though you were not happy with the outcome of this explore it sure seemed like a winner to me. If it was 30 min longer would have watched to the end I'll watch parts of it a second time.
Great post as usual, thanks.
Thanks a lot Richard ! More military facilities are coming up :) I just came back from a trip in Hungary :)
Great job Bob! Just when you thought everything was closed or guarded, you come through with this hidden submarine tunnels! Really interesting. Thanks mate 😎👍
Thanks for checking out again mate😁 our main mission was a nice one. Have to get back there. 👀
Fascinating find Bob, huge bunker facility, like something out of a Bond movie set. Thanks for taking us along, video footage and audio were spot on.
The military could call you a spy if they find you in their restricted zones. That could potentially be a lot of trouble. This happened to two people of Bohemia Interactive when they were mapping the Isle of Lemons, Greece for their video game in 2012. Arrested and held for 129 days.
yeah BOB listen to this guy, its true af, also when it comes to military law things get murky very fast. They'll hold you and won't care less that you come from the EU. All they think is that you were found / have camera equipment. thats all they need to charge for espionage and imprision you for 25 years man. also there will be language barriers and they'll just talk at you in their language . man . count . me . out !
It's possible but why would spies want to access an old base with old ass decrepit rusting planes from the 70s? Spies would more likely want to acess current base
A worthy sacrifice
it just happened to some Russians
@@angjelosmane9025 those russians were probably actual spies since they attacked the guards
From India. This place should be renovated. It can be preserved as a war museum. Useful for the navy personnel and common man. The government can make money out of this. It would be better to visit officially than sneaking unofficially. A special appreciation for your boldness.
Already made Kucova USA Air base not anymore soviet albania
how many war museums in india?
Super cool exploration. Sometimes finding a way in is half the adventure, the other half is to avoid getting captured!
Really enjoyed this one. Glad you made it in and out safely. 😎
Thanks for checking out! I decided also to show some failures this time😅
@@ExploringtheUnbeatenPath well it was a good decision my friend, it added to the whole adventure and suspense vibe 😎
This is some next level insanity, love stuff like this! Just please always come back. Those rusty metal beams inside that bunker really looked dangerous.

At 8:51 it looks as though the padlock is only on one side no? Looks like it’s only held together by a twist tie lol
Yep, I've noticed that. But it got a "seal" so they respected it and left it alone.
Dude you explore semi abandoned military structures and bases that are still partially used. You have some balls man. I love it. This episode has a James Bond or spy type of feel to it. Ish

Really good video this. Elaina was great, a real tough explorer. Do more explores with her.
The bunker door with the "old lock" on it wasnt locked. It was wire holding it and the lock was latched to one side.
Staggering to think of the man hours building this facility by slave labour and other political prisoners many of whom suffered terribly and died in the process. 😢
Appreciate your courage and efforts to share this with us.

The thing you called a "motor" is actually the base base of a metal "shaper" . It was a widely used machine tool in the era, clearly that was a machine shop you were in the "scrap metal" is a pile of chips created by a metal lathe.
Bobs confidence and charisma makes him the Lionel Messi of Urbex
Welcome to Albania ,where the difficulties are part of life.

Another excellent video guys. Thanks for this one, and keep them coming!
What I really do not understand is that after all this time the Albanian government is still posting armed guards to look after all those obsolete aircraft. None of them will be airworthy and it's almost guaranteed that the majority of them will not have all the parts fitted necessary to enable them to fly anyway. It's absolutely crazy!
It is so they can not be vandalised
The metal is worth something if scavenged.
Maybe it is that they include those plans in the account of viable aircraft to the eyes of the public, and the military does not wish people to get close enough to know the truth that their money that was collected did not go necessarily to where it was supposed to, I like pockets and hands in the cash box for parties and celebration, fast cars women yachts and vacation bungalows.
According to the Albanian Air Force Wikipedia page, Albania has been planning to sell those old jets, Migs and Chinese Mig clones, to collectors and other interested parties (if you want a fancy lawn ornament, keep an eye out for auctions). Maybe that's why they are still guarding them, even though they won't fly anymore. Interestingly enough according to web sources, Albanian Air Force's don't sport any fixed wing aircrafts currently, only helicopters.
That is kucova air base it is being renewed as nato air base..
Another amazing video as always 👍🏻
Ooo you are really binge watching haha😃 Underground power station is nice in Malta… and Sunday I hope to post a former secret military underground train workshop 😎✌️

Jeeeez, I get shivers seeing them walking on those rusty bridges over an 8m deep cannal. And the girl walking on that rail.... 😯😯😯
Just a guess, they had to seal this up as part of the peace agreement. The door was closed the cable cut and that big half gear was probably a major part of it's operation.
Bob! Once again, this video is awesome mate!
Thankyou to you and your friends for your efforts!
Much Love from Australia ❤️🇦🇺👍
Thanks a lot for watching Yorgi !
The lock that was on the bunker door in the scenes with the abandoned planes was actually not locking the door! There was a piece of wire tying the two metal plates together
I think it was a seal to tell if the door had been opened.
Incredible collection of Mig-15/17 and Su-7s
Did anyone else notice the padlock was only attached on one side and the door was only being held closed by a piece of wire twisted together.
I lol
It looked like a seal, if it was they’re numbered and meant to show tampering.
She was a great team mate! Nice work in the bunker.
Another great adventure, Bob. And it looks like you met an enthusiastic new explorer to join you. Imagine the twists and turns in the mind of Enver Hoxha!
Absolutely amazing. Keep doing what you do.
Thanks! Saw my recent adventure to an abandoned aircraft carrier?
Amazing work as usual.
Thanks for this video,Bob!
I know in England we go for places where there is already known footage but go to the ends of the road to get that special view thanks for that folks and yesthat young lady should have her own channel.
Just now Albania charged with espionage three people for entering a military zone. It may look abandoned to you, but it could be a future NATO base, if they need it, it could be rebuild in six months, but you've mapped the layout. Don't be surprised if you get arrested at any international airport or border-crossing.
The whole internet is littered with pictures. That ammunition factory I’ve been too
That was a lovely experience to watch! I felt like I was there too ! Great video ! Enjoyed! Thanks
Love the video guys, but that lock at 8:48 isn't doing anything...it's just the wire holding it closed!
Awesome urbex! You and Elaina are fearless. Elaina is intense.

Thanks! Just uploaded a historical cruise ship and next week I’ll upload a solo mission to an aircraft carrier😬
The water in that place looks tropical and beautiful like the Bahamas
Albanian Riviera is all like that from the beginning to the end( Vlora- Saranda).
Scary thing is that most of these weapons can still be used if repaired properly, they can be reused for more powerful weapons too for salvage
It’s a difficult time for urban explorers like me because these days you easily get seen as a spy. Even in old abandoned places.
Would be hilarious if Bob sneaks into abandoned underground soviet factory only to discover that it's reactivated and producing tons of artillery shells for the war in Ukraine. Oops.
Exciting stuff Bob pretty extreme the material falling from the roof reminds us why helmets are a very good idea.
I watched a video earlier with you in but the channel name was different idk I didn't look into it was pretty zoned out at the time tbh
We used to explore all sites in the British isles but now I'm time/ability limited so great to see some cool stuff and places with good people. Appreciate what you do man 👍
Wow, imagine there would still be some submarines, that would be crazy
niice video guys
It’s the perfect place to leave old broken down subs that need the nuclear reactors decommissioned
8:45 8:47 that padlock is definitely not going between both of those doors meaning the door is obviously 🙄 open!
No… it’s sealed by the military. They patrol and you don’t want to be inside when they find out the seal is broken🫣 we would not be the first explorers who end up in jail just for walking there.
One heck of a coincidence that Simon just so happened to be hanging out in the area, eager to explore someplace dangerous with a bunch of strangers. I really hope that he was genuine and not military that will testify against you!
O, he was fine and liked the adventure :)
That submarine place was amazing.
A while back Albania was wanting to sell these old war planes so they can use that to modernize their Air Force a little bit but it looks like that hasn't happened
Who would have use for such old and decaying planes - If they had been inside a hanger that would be a possibility but I can't imagine any part of those planes still being working or safe as a replacement
Geweldig! Respect !
Dank je wel voor het kijken😁
Very cool place.. I don't know why they want to guard a place like that.. looks like it's just an empty shell.. but still a very cool place.. I wonder how long u could camp out there without being discovered.. thx for bringing us along on another adventure... Be safe my friends...

Great exploration ! It must have cost a fortune to build that bunker.
25% of our GDP each year went only to bunkers 750.000 bunkers in total, thousand of people died building them, the country went bankrupt.
The construction of tunels and bunkers has been a country defence strategy. No one has died, all been workers payed with regular salary, and all were serving to the motherland. On the time we had a great army with troops and everything needet, we havent buy them cose many were dealed, we had thousant tanks, dosens migs 21, 29, 15 etc, scuadrons of helicopters, cose the amount of money is incalculabile but great for a country as Albania to set the defence. All been active till 1999 -2001. After all these amunitions started to replaced with new ones, as we are Nato member. Is a long topic but if you see the diference the past and the present, is night with day :). In total we have just zero of everything only 2 helicopters for defence, and always when 1 is working the other is broken in service. Im a new generation, but we should have respects what have done our parents for our country, you see how fragile is the world and everything starts again from begining, thnx to the guys for the video.
Ps: small sugestion, when you realise this videos on dark you may use some strong led electrics to iluminate the place, thnx and keep going
