This looks really nice! Is it possible to add a colored "marker" on the word in focus instead of each word popping up seperatly? I've seen some short vidoes with this effect but never figured out how its done.

Random q, if you put one of these titles on a track, does it work fine if you alt click and make a copy on another track? I got some titles elsewhere and doing this, the copy just totally bugs out.

Love the tutorial. Love the download even more! You always do things the right way. Thank you. Installed, no problem on 18.5 Studio on Windows. Please explain this from the instructions:
"Attention to Detail: To maintain the animation's integrity, avoid extending or shortening the clip from the beginning. Doing so may shift or remove the animation from that specific clip."
So it is okay to lengthen or shorten it as long as you do it from the right-hand end? I don't think I've ever seen a "don't mess with the beginning" warning on an effect- wondering about it.
You’ve got it exactly correct! Because the presets are literally just keyframes at the beginning of the clips, exactly how I showed in the video, if you mess with the beginning of the clip, you will mess with the animation. So place the text where you want it to start popping in, then extend from the right hand side to elongate how long you want it on screen. Hope that makes sense!

How did you get the sound effect with the text at the beginning of this video? I could probably do it the hard way, but it seems like there’s a better way
well, i just bought the pack but Chrome has blocked it see i think you might have to update the file? since I'm not installing anything that chrome blocks for obvious reasons 10 bucks wasted right now

Honestly, the key framing solution should still work! Frame 1 → 0x zoom, frame 3 → 1.1x zoom frame 4 → 1x zoom

Everything's fine but, where you lost me was the "quicker pop". The 1st one was done under "Inspector Layout" The 2nd method was done in Fusion, pretty easy now, the 3rd method, you didn't tell us where it was made nor show how it was made. Sir, was the 3rd method done under Fusion or Inspector.
Lastly, how do we save all these for future reference? Thanks.
Also can you maybe do a video on your mic setup and sound profile as I’ve always liked the sound you have. Appreciate every voice is different but maybe for the future ?!

@@dunnadidit yes I was going to ask you which Mic it was and whether you are connecting via USB or XLR. I’ve been dabbling with different methods to record audio and video, and I keep coming back to the same method. This is one reason I’m interested how you do it? Ie: USB mic straight into DR, then sync with the video track? Do you use a Zoom or similar? And what processing do you apply to the audio and is it through DR Fairlight or other methods etc etc :-)
Cool! Yeah I'll definitely consider a video on this. For this one, it was the rode podmic usb, straight into the computer via usb. Then recorded into my screen recorder while also having a boom mic set up on my camera just in case (I didn't need to use it). Processing would take way too long to explain in a comment haha. I'll keep that for when I can make a video!
@@dunnadidit nice mic! I’ve been tempted with one of those. I went for a Russian pencil condenser to keep it out of frame, and I use my SM7B for podcasting but I’m tempted for one of the Rode USB mics. GAS kicking off again !! Lol. Thanks for the response !!
As much as you inspired me, I gave up and went back to premiere. I was just losing too much time learning a new editing program. Ok....that's a lie. I'm too lazy to learn something new. I'll continue riding a horse while everyone else is driving a car. Lol. Someday I'll revisit these videos and climb out of my complacency.

Part of it at least! The part that I do in the edit page for sure. I haven’t really gotten into DR for iPad yet so I’m not sure how deep into fusion (if at all) you can get.

Anywhere software or only can use to Davinci?
The presets are only for Davinci right now. But the concept of key framing the size to get the pop up will work anywhere

It's easier doing it using a transition with text and you can also change color, size, font,as well as one word at a time for each word you say. No fusion needed, straight from edit page.
Yeah transitions can be a great way to do stuff like this as well! I find it more cumbersome in some situations, especially if there are a lot of separate titles involved. Many ways to do the same thing is a great issue to have! How do you do one word at a time with transitions?
@@dunnadidit I split the text and move it to the part where I'm saying another word and just change the word I said, along with color, font etc.

Unfortunately, you cant really animate subtitles at this point. That would be nice though.

Unfortunately no. Davinci Resolve’s “subtitles” are different from their “text” and “text+” and they don’t allow for effects or animation yet. The only thing you can do (and what I have been doing) is generate the subtitles, then use the subtitles track to make it easier to just replace, one by one, every single subtitle with a text clip with animation on it. This is why having the presets can be so handy!
@@dunnadidit what I also just learned by going thru your steps, is that there seems to be about a 3-word limit with the "5 frame and Timing-Delay set to value of 1." For example if someone speaks quickly, 4-words in a "5 frame" window might need a Timing-delay value of 0.8. 🤷♂

Unfortunately I am not being able to install the DRFX file due to being in a selection loop.
I am 100% sure this is not a problem on your end but on mine. But it is kind of frustrating to deal with this problem.
Okay, updating to 18.5 helped! I keep this up so people who experience the same problem can try it out.

I downloaded your preset and installed it, but whenever I drag the effect onto my timeline and put it on top of my video, its just a black screen- no text, and the video is gone.
Well that is definitely strange! Can you do me a favor and try changing the font and in the typical way you would with any text and let me know if that changes anything. I've had a few people have trouble with the font that I used when I created the presets.
