Brently G is THE inspiration for millions. Especially in America, where 45% of the population is overweight or morbidly obese. He's the one everyone should follow as an example.
Agreed he is a great example of how to lose weight, great job, however nobody should allow themselves to get in that condition to start with, no offence
Anyone can lose weight, not everybody can get extra musclemass. Brentley clearly does not train the big lifts like barbell row, bench press, sled push, deadlift or kettlebell swings, military press and pullups/pulldowns. If he did, Brentley would have some visible muscletone by now.

This may sound corny, but if it weren't for DDR (dance dance revolution), I would have easily ended up where Brently ended up. I hit over 200lbs at < 5ft tall by middle school. Luckily, DDR (rather, initially Pump It Up) became a thing in the very late 90's - early 00's and I unknowingly exercised like crazy playing at the arcades, haha. I became an IV opioid junkie by the mid 00's and if it weren't for all the cardio I did before that (via DDR), at least one of the many overdoses likely would have taken me out. I discovered weightlifting during my time in drug rehab (early/mid 2010's) and found it to be the ultimate replacement for opioid addiction! And more recently I attained a life goal and now own my own classic DDR arcade cabinet, and now incorporate cardio + weights in every session from home ❤️. I can't emphasize enough how much more healthy I feel now with less muscle than at my peak strength, but being in much better condition cardio-wise, and it's almost all thanks to DDR, lol! Anyway, I'm incredibly proud of and happy for Brently. I think people who know what it's like to be morbidly obese also can have an incredible, unique motivation to make these changes and stick to it (though also having the danger of "going back" to the old ways). I don't really follow the online fitness scene, but I hope we keep seeing Brently's journey go in a positive direction!
Everyone needs at least 1 physical activity they have fun with as a minimum. It feels so bad to mistreat your body and make it harder to do something you enjoy. It's not weird to think DDR saved you.

In the last year, he's been officially diagnosed with Parkinson's and I can't help but wonder if he'd taken care of himself better, it wouldn't be as bad as it is now. Even starting now would make a huge difference. He's played a few rounds on my machine at our house and actually had a lot of fun doing it; I've been wondering if I should find him a nice home setup with arcade style pads. But most of all I'd like to congratulate you on being entertaining while spreading a positive mindset about bidy image and exercises. Wish you had a localized price version of your cookbook for us Brazilians 😅
As someone who really struggled ED and crazy dysmorphia, this video gave me chills seeing people being so accepting of Brently and acknowledging his hard work. Dude looks great, what a fucking unit. Dude is throwing around like his bodyweight like its no big deal, he's going to be a MONSTER (in a good way, if he chooses)
To whoever is reading this keep going, you're doing fine! No matter how slow your progress each new week is filled with tiny steps forward. Be proud of yourself you got this!
I wonder if his insurance will cover bariatric surgery. Gastric sleeve, which isn't overly invasive, helps a lot with ghrelin and hunger/appetite/cravings. 2300 isn't going to work forever. If he wants to maintain mid-200s, he may have to live on 1500 a day. That'll be tough without some serious help (Tirzepatide, Retatrutide, gastric sleeve, gastric bypass, duodenal switch, loose skin removal). I hope he's working on his finances as well as his body. His goal is going to eventually require more than what lifestyle changes alone can deliver. I wish him all the best.
1500 calories per day would be a starvation diet, he would wind up looking like a holocaust survivor. If he wanted to maintain in the mid-200s while being moderately active his maintenance would be around 3500 calories per day.
I hope for the world there are more influencers like Brentley G, and coach Greg. Two different styles of content but both inspiring people to make changes in their different ways
The best way I could say is its not at a constant. Dude loosing weight is still a huge dub this actually just hyped me up so much im not over weight but if anything im good just not where I'd want to be. This motivated me to put on more muscles. He's not just motivating over weight people but all people. This is what we all love to see. This is real body positivity
Greg the problem with setting "realistic" goals is that they don't inspire people to do it. Who does great things with the mentality of being mediocre?. who says : " im obese, let me try to look instead like that chubby guy that has 40 pounds less than me. People are inspired by greatness, nobody wants to be average.
I work in support groups for obese men. It takes years to lose that kind of weight naturally and most importantly healthy. Also there will be loose skin. But it eventually will happen! It only stops if you quit! 5 lbs x12 months is 60 lbs. That is significant. 3 years is 180 lbs! That is not slow! You have to be patient! Also he will experience so much freedom once he hits the 200's i've seen this happen to guys. They were 700, 500, 400 lbs. Once they hit 200ish they experienced so much freedom. But even when they hit 300 they are way more mobile and have more freedom then too. So don't quit, be patient, live well, and the weight loss will come. Here's another thing. Every weigh in you don't gain weight is a WIN, period, plateaus exist. Calorie counting works but so does carnivore and no carb. Hope that helps!
there's no such thing as not losing weight fast enough. so long as you're losing weight consistently and seeing results without hurting yourself, you're doing great
Love your motivation and Brentleys positivity. Despite the negativity coming from comments on your other vids, this is the stuff north america needs to hear and learn from. There's a reason you're called Coach Greg, and that's because you're the people's coach. 👍

As a Christian i like to think of it as the devil only attacks those of value, and if your authentic you have something very valuable that God has cultivated in you that the devil wants to crush.
Thank you coach greg for this video, the idea that you need to lose weight as fast as possible isnt healthy or maintainable, and to be okay with not consistently loosing (or gaining) weight I think will help me a lot in my own weight loss journey
I need to follow this guy. I recently lost 50 lbs from mostly diet. It took about a year, and i experienced all the highs and lows that went along with it. At one point, my weight loss completely stopped. I had to get used to eating less calories. It takes a while and none of thus happens fast.
Brently always seems to have a smile on his face in some form or fashion. Motivated too. His weight loss is phenomenal, and I think he'll get to where he needs to be. Set-point, or maybe a little below. Me sitting at a hair over 300 has me rethinking my own life as it pertains to how I eat. He's amazing!
I needed this today! I just started a 90 day transformation challenge today and I'm hangry! Thanks for the motivation Greg! I'm shooting for 20 pounds if not more but I want to lift weights consistently to make the majority of the loss by fat not muscle.

Walking with that amount of extra weight must get you really strong legs, but hard on the knees.
Brently the biggest G. Love seeing his journey. So inspiring to see what he's managing to do!!
well at least Brently G isn't having a complete mental breakdown like nikocado avocado...
good job Brently G
I mean Nikocado avocado was just acting all crazy for the camera.
now his balince shape
@@damn613i mean, if you "act" crazy but actually do crazy things, you're crazy.
Only fans, problem whit other youtubers
Et
I love how he’s slowly chiseling at that detail. Greg’s right. Sculpting a dream physique out of marble takes time :)
2:20 Greg just called him a baddy ?!?!
11:02 😅 90 mins a day for me to eat more 🤙🏻💀
The best way I could say is its not at a constant.
OMG I'm soooo happy for him! This is great!!!
1:48 lifting muscle?
😂
WELCOME TO MY NEW CHANNEL LIFTING MUSCLE 💪💪💪
This is real body positivity. Love this guy.
Nikocado was always 2 steps ahead
Dude looks so happy with his progress. He needs to keep it up! Brently is doing awesome.
Been following him for the last year. It's always a nice thing seeing him post update. He's a goddamn gangster.
I’m so proud of him and his journey!
there's no such thing as not losing weight fast enough. so long as you're losing weight consistently and seeing results without hurting yourself, you're doing great
I like you Greg ! Even when people are trying to dis you ! Gotta love your discipline which in turn I put into my workouts now !
I remember videos when he trained with couch Greg, it was really inspiration for me - easy, steady, better today than last time :)
Love your motivation and Brentleys positivity. Despite the negativity coming from comments on your other vids, this is the stuff north america needs to hear and learn from. There's a reason you're called Coach Greg, and that's because you're the people's coach. 👍
I've seen Brently G. He's done so well and I hope he continues to do well on his journey. This is real body positivity. Aiming for better health. That should be the number one goal but he's also looking great. Good on him! He's so inspirational.
Yeah huge inspiration! While Brently has been losing weight (like 100lbs) I’ve been stalled trying for the next 10 or 20 lbs…Keep up the progress!
We need more in person Brently collabs
I seen this and literally started clapping . I am so happy for him he is doing great! I really would love to see him keep this up
Love these reassuring videos that anyone and everyone can create change in their body.
Greg saying it how it is. ❤ just keep doing you and improving yourself cause there will always be haters. As a Christian i like to think of it as the devil only attacks those of value, and if your authentic you have something very valuable that God has cultivated in you that the devil wants to crush.
Amen to that
Thank you coach greg for this video, the idea that you need to lose weight as fast as possible isnt healthy or maintainable, and to be okay with not consistently loosing (or gaining) weight I think will help me a lot in my own weight loss journey
Coach Greg spittin straight fira! Brently much better inspiration than sneaky Nikocado on ozempic.
He's amazing!
the journey never really ends.
I needed this today! I just started a 90 day transformation challenge today and I'm hangry! Thanks for the motivation Greg! I'm shooting for 20 pounds if not more but I want to lift weights consistently to make the majority of the loss by fat not muscle.
I’m trying to be on Brent’s timing!
I’ll show yall a video by Wednesday of the results of my training so far
I am so proud of Brently G! He has made such good progress and I can’t wait to see him get in the 200s
I'm very proud of this guy
I really respect an appreciate your Work greg. Motivating people, giving them advice and helping them. Keep it up 👍🏼 🔥
Brently looks so much better man. Good for him. I hope he keeps going
