Macca and Crowie - are both true legends. If Macca can make the olympic team - that would put him over the top as the greatest triathlete ever in my books. Respect and honor to all of the top guys and gals that do this sport.. Ironman is one of the sports that is much harder than these guys make it look!! The ITU racers now are so freaking fast.. you are likely right though on the macca vs crowie!!
Macca is my ultimate hero, he is such an inspiration to me, and once that cannon goes off in Hawaii hss focus is purely just on that painted line at the end on Ali'i Drive - Go Macca go!
even though I prettty much dispise the race because it hurts so freaking much - I love watchin this epic battle - macca is quite the competitor and I sure hope he returns to kona to battle it out with all the contenders once again. His ITU speedwork will help this true strategist win again - I believe. Wonder if he wants to give it another go - my two favourite triathletes head to head - crowie and macca - wow that would be great!!
Maybe after that in 2013 Andreas will finally win what should have been his race in 2010. But look out for Pete Jacobs, Clayton Fettel, Aaron Farlow. New Aussie breed.
Where can I find a video with the Inception music. Once there was wone and it moved me so much it got me training real hard so I managed to do an IM myself. Now it just doesn't do it for me. Please help
Agreed...I think 5k is probably the distance it SHOULD be....like realistically the equivalent of a marathon run is the 10k swim...so it should be at least 5
@rsdsf Yea i get ya man....still very mentally tough the swim.....i think its definitely underestimated in triathlon....i think that 3.8k for the swim is far too short..... 5 hours on a bike and 3 on a run and just 1 in the water.....thats means you spening only 11 percent of your time there....
@rsdsf I get what your saying man, but the thing is i do sessions that would be 4-5k in the water, id be a strong swimmer....but weve all had swims were halfway through ya just dont feel good for it....if that happens in kona your a long way offshore.....maybe i should just man up :)
immediate music: serenata. if you liked this video check out "kona ironman championship compilation", same music, absolutely brilliant triathlon video (put in by a guy who calls himself guitargrasshopper)
Id be able for about 22/23mins for 1500m in a pool, but i look at that swim and think...phhhwoar....that looks really intimidating....what if you run out steam all the way out the bay!?
according to Macca, he beat Crowie two times already....no need for an "epic battle". I think Crowie will give it one more go for Kona 2012, after that he will retire. Sorry to say it will never happen again.
Name one ironman that was one in the swim... it doesn't happen. Some might be lost in the swim, but never won. The difference between a good swim and a bad swim is 10 minutes TOPS. 5 minutes for the pros. Thats gone in an instant over the bike and the run. Can't win in the water. Impossible.
I love how you changed the Serrenata Immortale to fit the video. It worked out perfectly!
Amazing videos man, thanks so much for your efforts

This boys are fighters in mentality. In the end I guess to be energy efficient and have even rhythm counts allot.

Even though these guys are freaks of nature....alot more needs to be acheived to come close to Mark Allen and Dave Scott!

Макка молодец: красавец - еще и губки умудрился перед самым финишем снять

5k swim would be perfect i reckon, not that 3.8 is easy by any means
You can not win a IM with a brilliant swim, but you sure can loose one withe a terrible one...
