the transmission shift was slow cause u had it in D and sport was off, turn sport on and put it in M and watch how fast it shifts, it almost looks like it shifts faster than a dual clutch....and i personally think it does
The trans misssion shift was also the fastest in the world when this car first came out and less has updated it since. You were not using the paddle shifter leavin it in D will shift a bit slower
I think the rarity is helping the secondary market. I live in an area where I see all sorts of vehicles (from ultra-high end to low end), and I hardly ever see an IS-F.

Those pipes are actually functional though. They have a dual-stage system that alters the noise coming out. The outlets on the IS-F are fake units that cover up a single outlet on each side.

I had a LExus IS250, and loved it, 2 years later i got a great deal on an ISF so wata heck i trade in.. From my expericen best ecision i made.. This car is worth every penny... Id go ISf over those germans any day, because when it comes to maintenance, lexus is cheaper... Everyone has their opinion, this is mine ! Later !
Having a 2011 ISF and around 60000km i can say that i will keep this car for years. It's a geat car and very safe in high speed. Faster i drive with safer it feel and the steering has a very pleasent feeling. Why all the cars have to be like BMW wich is in my opinion among the bests but definitly not the best.
Decent review, and definitely an intriguing car, my only issue is that the used ones are still far too expensive. $56k new and 5-year-old ones are still priced at $45k. No warranty and only an $11k drop?
I have owned an 08' for 2 years now, love the power, uniqueness, subtle style and Lexus reliability. Loves premium (15 MPG avg) but you never buy these type of cars for fuel efficiency.

I think the reason the quad TIPS are occasionally ridiculed is that they are purely fictional and not even connected to the actual single tip per side pipes that terminate roughly 6 inches before they reach these chromed, quad fake tips. I like the look, but I am surprised by the dishonest nature of the setup.
Zenith Z True, but the S4 is just as fast as all those cars. Audi doesn’t have an M3, IS-F competitor in the US because we don’t get the RS4 here, which is the competitor.

Nice review but one of the most basic things people want to know is what is the 0-60 mph time. Also would have been nice to know what MPG it gets.
Officially...zero to 60 is 4.6 sec you can trim it down with practicing good launches! MPG 16 city/ 23 highway...not bad for a V8
