- In this episode of "AGREASE FILTER REPLACEMENT - Portugal House Renovation DIY". we do some final work on the kitchen. We had a grease filter that i made myself couple years ago, but it needs replacement. Starting with drilling open the concrete for putting in the drainage and the incoming water. For the grease trap i want to cement a little container where it can sit in. Further more we also bought a water filter that i am going to install 👻

The dark water is just carbon fines (fine dust) nothin toxic but carbon is like a sponge and you should let it soak for 24hrs to get rid of the high ph faster

@@GhostTownVlogs It is for sure not as easy as it might seem. Otherwise it would have been fixed long time ago. It keeps the girls safely inside and if anyone enters that gate in the night I believe the girls will hear it immediately (probably you as well). 😉

Your water system looks great, great cleaningsystem, but different than we are used to from Nederland and Norway.

Excellent job on the grease trap.....Wow Jasper maybe you could put guttering at the edge of your patio so that amazing rain runs into the trough, you could use it as a little plunge pool to cool off in or some more grey water for your garden 😊....

4:50 - instead of saliva you can use that “detergente da loiça” (washing dishes detergent), it will do the trick 😅

I just installed that exact same model water filter in my kitchen in Portugal about a month ago. bbagua. My experienced Portuguese plumber had never seen one before so we figured it out together. The Spanish instructions were less than ideal, but the end result is excellent. The water is great, nice pressure and flow. We shall see about replacing the filter cartridges.
Ok I’m updated on Jasper ventures again! Kitchen and garden are looking good Jas! And what is Richard and his mechanics skills making the old machine work!

@@GhostTownVlogs simple..I scrape all food scraps into newspaper , any left over dirty cooking oil is poured into an old screw top jam jar and binned when full.
@@annar6430 I do the same, but still there are some grease coming and builds up. I liked that grease filter he bought and will look for something similar. Even with not much grease, I find it excellent to be able to remove whatever is there. And I know that sometimes I am in a hurry and do a more lazy dish cleaning. 😊
