“Remember who you are.” Only as an adult do I finally get what that meant: “Forgive yourself for letting the world turn you into something you don’t recognize.”
Facts brutha!
Wow
Who's cutting onions in here?! That spoke to me!
Thank God and Jesus Christ I went back to this Disney Classic on Oct 16 in 2009 when I was but the most hapless in my Junior Year at high school
Yeah but also as adults we understand Simba and Nala are basically half siblings and now instead of hearing "Can you feel the love tonight" you now hear "Sweet Home Alabama" play in your head instead
When Rafiki went, "It is time," I teared up a bit.
in the lion king 1 1/2 simba hugs timon & pumbaa & says he couldnt have done it without them. it was soooooo sweet & shouldve been in this too b4 that. it made me smile really big but i didnt tear up. if it werent 4 them poor simba wouldve felt sorry 4 himself & been miserable 4 the rest of his life, died from heatstroke & gotten eaten by vultures. they saved his life, took care of him since he was a cub, helped him get thru the worst thing that ever happened 2 him & put it behind him, made him happy again & even helped him fight with the hyenas. they really deserve a shit ton of more credit 4 it in this. when he finds nala he kinda just ignores them. they didnt get the props they deserved in the first movie 4 being his adoptive dads. if mufasa survived & was there he definitely wouldve hugged them too, said thanks a million 4 taking care of his son & cried like timon did. he definitely did from heaven
The scene when he walks on pride Rock always makes me remember I did great things in life I always feel great listening to this 💯🙌
For me, it was hearing Mufasa say “Remember”.
4:14 It Is Time
4:41 Remember
It is time. 1:53
to believe that Disney thought this movie would be a flop. My God were they wrong.
One of THE best Disney films EVER!!!
Amen
THE BEST DISNEY MOVIE EVER!!!!!!!!!
RaptorKiLL100 it wasn't because of Hans zimmer
i'm sooooooooo glad i was born in 1994, the year it came out :)
Disney had to nerve to slap 4:19 in that trailer
I'M STILL CRYING
floofy corazon sane bro.
@Create Tube
LOL bye
Same😁 Beautiful movie
_same_
Create Tube you better not be hating on the Lion King
The Chills are unreal at 4:20...
That walk to regain his crown is epic.
Goosebumps as well
One of the most epic and emotionally compelling pieces of music in film history or history history for that matter - especially the way it transitions into the African style singing then back into the western style choir singing and finishing with “the circle of life”. Every part of it is as close to perfect as I’ve ever heard and I’ve been making music for close to two decades.
The King is dead
Long live the King!!
The one true king
REMEMBER!
Only Hans Zimmer can make walking on a rock epic :)
BedroomMetalPlayer And only Hans Zimmer fans can experience the epic
straight up
John Williams
The Fellowship of the Ring epicly walked past some rocks.
Mr. Kebby John Williams is awesome, but he doesn’t do the epic music Hans does. John does more magical and emotional stuff.
Dad?
Hm?
We're pals right?
Right.
And we'll always be together right?
Simba, let me tell you something my father told me...Look at the stars. The great kings of the past look down on us from those stars.
Really?
Yes, so whenever you feel alone, just remember that those kings will always be there to guide you, and so will I.
I could cry just by reading this haha #childhood #takemeback
“WHAT MOOK MADE THAT UP”
😭😭😭
Lets Be Honest
*i Watch it i cry*
*i Read this i cry*
Wise words
That line resonates for me because I always thought my father would always be with me.The day I lost him part of me went with him, that part I'd thought I'd never get back.
My father took me to see this the first day it came out in theaters when I was like 6 years old. He passed away last January due to Covid at the age of 67. I loved this music then and it saddens me deeply to hear it now without him. He was my Mufasa, taken from me surprisingly. Hopefully I will see him again, sometime.
Hopefully some day this music will instead remind you of the great times you had with your father. He may be gone, but you still have those memories of him.
As quoted from The Lion King, "He lives in you".
Then, Remember...Mufasa is alive.
I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost my dad too when I was only three.
Aweeeeeeee🥺😭 im so sorry now you made me cryy😭😭😭😭😭
God darned virus.. I'm so sorry about your loss, but always remember that he lives in you!
The Lion King will forever be my favorite Disney movie.
***** mine too :) my brother & i r twins & we were born in 1994 when it came out
***** Same!
Same here :) No other disney film could replace it
Ellie Reynolds Yay!
My favorite ones are "The Great Mouse Detective", "Tarzan", "The Emperor's New Groove", "The Fox and the Hound", "Lady and the Tramp", "Bambi", "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" and "The Lion King"
This is still one of the best Disney 2D animated films and it will always be 💙
4:21 - 4:51
Cannot imagine what that must have sounded like in a movie theater with surround sound. Boy I'm sure it would make you float with euphoria.
Take on a pair of good head-phones and turn em all up, that'll give you a good idea of what it's like. :D Epic
Emotions flow through body as any kind of water streams of the river.
I was there and I cried like not once, not twice, not few times but like 5 times.
I was too young in the nineties but I had my chance to experience by watching 3D version at movie theater.
***** I didn't mention goosebumps. I suppose that's make it even at same amount for me.
Yeah.
Even without surround sound, it did and still does.
Hans Zimmer is a genious. I'm convinced that the movie was so successful because of his score which is so overly emotional - soft, yet powerful - and epic.
Ĺ
Everyone is talking about 4:20
3:53-4:14 is the thing I hum everyday.
Omg! Yes! I actually love when it starts from 3:23 - 4:14
420? Get it?
The same soundtrack from the stampede!
It reminds me of Star Wars for some reason and I love it.
I was OBSESSED with this part when I was younger I had it in my head ALL THE TIME.
4:20
One of the most triumphant movie moments of all time.
Yes. 4:20.
No Lorien, for once it's not about weed
The Dragon of the Weast yes 4:20 has always been my favorite part!!! kids now a days won't be able to expereince the epicness!!!
The Dragon of the Weast I personally favor 4:50. That was my favorite part. Just. Amazing.
I like 5:28 too. The little reprise of Circle of Life
I can't imagine being in the theater at 4:21. Had to be chilling and amazing
.
Was...many times that epic summer...and yes! Saw it indoors, and at the drive-ins, and you can't imagine the feeling with the wind actually in your hair. I'll never forget.
Kourtney O that music is soooo awesome!
I was. I was 4. My first movie seen in a cinema.
djmindcrasher that's cool
I lost my father recently and hearing this track especially the 4:20 mark never fails to make me tear up now. Hearing Mufasa say 'Remember' is like hearing my father say it. Watched this film more than I can count since I was a kid and will always be my favorite. Love you Pa.
stay strong brother, we unite
im sorry :( just remember hes in heaven looking down on u right this second. hes gonna be with u again someday
How did he die ?
You are not alone! I also hear my father's voice whenever I watch this scene. And although I always tear up, it is still a great feeling to have him with me again. Even if it's only for those few seconds ♥
God bless all of you ❤️
4:20 Honestly part of Hans Zimmer's greatest compositions. The layering of string and wind instruments, the intense harmony, the orchestra, choir. Such a beautiful dramatic but uplifting composition. Goosebumps every time.
4:20 My eyes water every time.
My eyes also water at 420
I’m 29 years old and here I am watery eyed. Music is really very powerful...
@@falcont2tjockey lol.. I see what you did there
It is sad movie

The music that makes a fucking cartoon lion walking up a rock and roaring one of the most epic, moving things you've ever seen.
He is not just cartoon lion and this movie is not just a movie lion king is philosophy

dude u are fucking right , so emotion :(
smoke weed every day (i had to do it)
Composer Hans Zimmer wrote the score for Lion King as a requiem for his father. I think that is why the score is so emotional and personal to him. I think the father-son relationship in the film also adds up to it as well.
It just feels holy and blessed.
I was 7 years old in a cinema and as Simba ascends the rock, my Dad (who rarely showed emption) turned to my mum and said “Wow, that’s powerful.” I still remember and this scene still gives me chills. Shame, pain, love and redemption all in a single scene. Thanks Hans for making this scene sing the way it does.
Hans Zimmer is returning to do the music for the live action lion king. Best news ever.
I think there would have a been a riot had he not come back. The Lion King is not The Lion King without a Hans Zimmer score.
Yet no be prepared
i was pissed when i heard disney was doing a remake. the movies perfect the way it is & they should just leave it alone & not do anything else with it
James earl jones is also making the voice of Mufasa in the live action
@@popsingerstar I don't see you being pissed about Beauty and the Beast (2017)

And to think he's only won one Oscar for Best Original Score and that was for the score he wrote for The Lion King.
4 years later he still is.....

4:20 to 4:50 is so amazing, it just make u feel like change is coming. It's so chill
Change has come
The rest made you feel like that change has come
Lion King- The Circle of Life
Lion King 2- He Lives in You
As much as the Lion King 2 was not that great compared to the first one....I have to agree, that piece of soundtrack was really something :D
pilipinongdugo
Circle Of Life is soooooo much better😍
One of the most powerful themes ever made by Walt Disney Company. Lion King was and always be my favorite Disney movie.
...HANS ZIMMER. They cant get credit for an individual accomplishment lol.
LION KING BEST MOVIE EVER! NOTHING WILL BEAT IT! NOTHINGGG.
The part at 4:20 is so emotional; the rise of the music perfectly captures Simba's walk up Pride Rock.
That part from 5:30 to the end...amazing.
Finally, a comment that talks about that glorious part
Mark Markijano my favorite part of the whole score
Extremely underrated.
Tears me up every time I hear that part

The final part is fucking amazing. It really gets the idea that a king sits finaly in his throne.

4:23 onwards has been stuck in my head for days now, could not for the life of me remember which movie it was. For a minute I thought maybe Prince of Egypt, but the chords didn't make sense. Then it hit me, freaking LION KING! The only cartoon that has ever made me cry, the story line and soundtrack alone make it the best Disney movie of all time. Glad I figured it out LOL
4:20 This is when we all jumped on top of our couches and pretended to roar. Face it, you did it too.
@Rick O'Shay that hit me hard
@Rick O'Shay yup
(P.S did you realize you replied to a 5 years old comment?)
i still do it lol
@Rick O'Shay I need to add that to the end of my D&D campaign now Lol
@Rick O'Shay lol I've never done that lmao, idk why i said that, the music just gives me chills every time
Every kid should watch this movie.. It makes you to feel more sensitive to the most important things in the life like love and family, this is not another stupid movie with nonsense like today's ones. This soundtrack really chills my bones, the minute 4:21 makes you feel strong to keep walking through the life.
True that. Lion King is very spiritual in it's scope; the concept of the Circle of Life is a philosophy I've always adhered to :)
ok, from 4:20 is amazing, spectacular, but from 5:27 is something EPIC. no words.
4:21 this moment gives me chills since 1998 ❤️
no Frozen track will ever beat a Hans Zimmer score tbh
Don't you EVER say that sickening shit here again.
+Josh Sauer to who what did they say
Someone said ( most likely a troll ) that the Frozen ost is better than Hans zimmer.
Josh Sauer HA!!!
Frozen has two...maybe three good tracks in total while I can listen to the Lion King cd straight for hours on end and still not get tired of it (of course I do skip the pop versions at the end because I don't like them).
Lion King has the greatest score ever.
para una pelicula de dibujos animados, no lo discuto.
Zac Grant Still waiting for another Disney movie to wow me with its soundtrack like this one does.
Zac Grant favorite track too intro Mozart esk and just epic ending to this score with the circle of life outré
The Cinderella score Courage And Kindness is really good. It's a different kind of "wow" factor compared to this movie, but just as inspiring to me, especially the last minute.
Zac Grant Legend of the guardians has a good score too.
4:20
King of Kings, is our King.
Ruler of our Land.
This land, the land of our ancestors;
Forever Holy...
Nothing but goosebumps at 4:22-4:50 it's so hard to believe so many people feel exactly the same hearing that beautiful sound! 😊
i love this film score so much . the music really made this great movie even greater . when simba climbs pride rock, the music in that part really gets me every single time, it is just perfect !
Tony Ann
I will play this soundtrack repeatedly after I win the grand jackpot from the slot machine!
Tony Ann lion king is the perfect redemption/avenge film disguised as a kids movie.

Let the nostalgia consume you and let yourself bawl.
It's okay. You're not alone!
Thank you!
I think this is the best part, so beautiful 3:22 😍🥰
😭🙌🙏
The fact that Hans Zimmer said that the original soundtrack was unfinished is baffling beyond belief
I was born in 1989, my parents definitely took my siblings to see this movie, my sister cried, can't blame her.

Then you realize its not as great as you thought itd be lol

At about 4:43 Mufasa - "REMEMBER".... Epic
1:02 . Not a word needed. This. Short. Part. Leaves. Me. Crying. Every. Single. Time.
My brother recently graduated and the farewell theme was lions. They played the scene of Simba climbing up Pride Rock and I started getting emotional for a whole different reason.
4:25 is when shit gets REAL emotional. You're welcome.
Faye Gruzinski I know right :'')
I'm crying. This is the best soundtrack ever and the best movie ever.
I'm glad that Hans Zimmer returned to do the music for the live action, but listening to the two versions of this... I actually prefer the original. And that's not to say the reorchestration is bad -- far from it. But, having been recorded in 1994, there's still this warmth to it that's very hard to recreate with modern recording and mixing technology. It sounds fuller; there's a richness that I just can't seem to find in the 2019 version.
Agreed
4:20 - THAT'S how you make an epic musical closure!
if 4:24 on doesn't make you burst into tears you have no heart.
I don't cry but I do get chills

You tell me this is not one of the greatest musical pieces written in our lifetime ..
Kids born now won't experience the epicness during the 1990s lmaooo 4:20 is the best part
Yeah I totally get you its like for the kids born in the 2000s are gonna be like...
Mommy what is Lion king?!
I certainly have. So have my younger siblings. If parents are smart, these are the first movies their kids will ever see and keep seeing.
I am SO glad I was born in the 90s!
My favorite part too, it's good to know i'm not the only one who shares good taste in the epic moments of Disney.
Luna Jane I second that!
Right in the childhood 😭😭😭
I'd like to think this track is what clinched the oscar for Hans Zimmer!
I was too young to watch this at the theatre but I was lucky enough to have the vhs which my parents bought for me on my 6th birthday (1996) this movie will live on long after I'm gone from this world ❤️
4:14...best part of this piece. Unreal.

This never fails to give me goose bumps. The Lion King has the best soundtrack ever.
People would have no idea how I wish I was born in the 90s. Lion King. Toy Story. Literally there was the golden age going around that sadly couldn't remain up until today. Well, at least as a 2000s kid, my parents showed me older movies.

You can never be too old for works of art! :)
nobody's too old 4 disney movies
No one is EVER too old for Disney! Walt Disney made movies, parks and more for EVERYONE of all ages to enjoy and The Walt Disney Company still continues that tradition till today!
Phoenix Flare You can never be too old for Disney ;)
Disney films might be aimed at children, but I think they take on extra significance for adults, who understand better the struggles of the characters growing up and finding our place in the world.
I had 4:20 - 4:51 play at my high school graduation. One of the great moments of my life.
Ngl, that sounds epic. And being who I am, if they did that for us, I'd probably start crying lol

4:21 to 4:51 should be extended
Trevor Philips That part, for me, is the most exciting music in all Disney´s history. Hans Zimmer was inspired by God to compose it.
***** he's referring to to the part when Scar and Simba are fighting and the instrimental score that is applied to their fight
***** well there is a a part of the soundtrack where it is included.
Wow Trevor. Liking Disney? That's so awesome, yet unexpected;)
Krista Masucci Yeah this music sounds good! I'm an american
I love how you can totally hear elements of his "Backdraft" score from a few years before this (especially @ 4:20)... the same plodding tempo, the same use of haunting choral florishes, the drum and horn crescendos which lead to the lone flute melodies. All calling cards of a Hans Zimmer score during this time I think.
Is this in d minor ?

One of my favourite movie scenes. What I love most about this is when Simba walks up he seems so heavy, as if he's remembering all his pain. Then when he gets to the end he looks up at the sky for help and his father simply says "remember..." And after that you see a little smile...which to me feels like a throwback to young Simba who was carefree and who couldn't wait to become king. And then he roars. No dialogue, just music and visuals. *chef's kiss*
